I can not for the life of me figure out how to get controls working on Rosalie N64 for donkey kong 64.
I am 100% new to emulation, managed to I think get the emudeck up and running using the emudeck guide on the official site. I got a working rom (I think? According to what I read, n64 doesn't need bios). Followed what I thought were the correct installation procedures.
I can boot up the game in both gaming mode and desktop mode but neither way will respond to controls in any ways shape or form so it just keeps rolling through the start menu endlessly.
I've tried starting it up in desktop mode, messing around with updates for the emudeck, updates for the rom, changing controller setting inputs to steamdeck controller, to automatic. It seems like its working in the settings screen and the n64 controller it shows seems responsive when clicking buttons and whatnot but sure enough when I got to boot the game, nada, zilch, bricked at the start screen. Can anyone help?
