Some people asked me how to play PS3 games on their Steam Decks, so I just made a simple guide. If anyone is interested, they can watch it.

It contains everything from installing EmuDeck to setting up RPCS3, Downloading Updates, and actually updating them, optimized settings for most PS3 games, and the RPCS3 overlay (which came)

Also, before watching, please know: no matter how good the settings, the Steam Deck CANNOT run very demanding games like Killzone 2, God of War 3, or Uncharted 3.

Also, I noticed a lot of games' audio doesnt work unless you set the audio backend from Cubed to Faudio, so if you dont get any audio, just try switching that.

Trying to set up EmuDeck on my Steam Machine and getting “Error Detecting SD Card” no matter what I try.

Troubleshooting attempted:

- Restart the system
- Formatted the SD Card in Game Mode and used a name without any spaces
- Formatted the SD Card in desktop mode using KDE Partition Manager and chose a different name, also with no spaces

The SD card stores games and plays them just fine. It’s seems like an emudeck specific issue.

Anyone have any luck installing Emudeck on an sd card in the Steam machine?

I am using the english translation and running the game via retroarch. It came in the form of 5 discs (the first being labelled the user disc and the 5th being labelled the system disc, I am running the user disk). At first I had issues with no text displaying but I managed to download the font files and put it in the retroarch system directory in an np2kai folder and it fixed that. However, as soon as the intro is finished it loops again. The game manual says it controls with the numpad and whenever I press a numpad button the intro stops and the screen turns black and the music becomes static. Does anyone know how I could fix this and play the game? I would greatly appreciate it.

So ryujinx just won't download through emudeck it just says there is a issue. I've tried to get eden instead but it doesn't appear in emulation station but it does work if i launch the app image of eden. Thought I should mention that I havn't been able to download the keys for eden don't know if that wouldn't make it show up on emualtion station. Any help is much appreciated.

I’ve added my ROMs to Steam using SRM. When I launch them, the controls don't work if Steam Input is active. Sometimes the Steam overlay appears but I can't navigate it; other times it doesn't show up at all, or opening it just takes me back to the main Steam screen. Is there a solution for this?. My device is a laptop running Bazzite, and I use a Switch Pro Controller.

Is anyone having trouble with the steam controller on the steam machine?

It works for some emulators, doesn’t for others (Ex. 64 games run great, gamecube with default dolphin is a bit messy).

I can configure them on desktop mode, and then they kind of work if I then launch from ESDE. But if I go for full integration and launch a game from the steam game mode, it doesnt register any buttons. I assume it is bc it is early, and this was made mainly for the deck, but checking in case Im doing something wrong.

Hi, everyone! I installed EmuDeck on Windows 11 (desktop), and the installation went smoothly, but whenever I try to install Steam Rom Manager, I always get an error message! I switched to Emulation Station — it opens, but I can’t add it to Steam (it can’t find the program), nor can I navigate the menus of ES with the controller, which isn’t recognized (I have an 8bitdo Ultimate 2).

Does anyone know how to fix the problem with SRM? Or even how to set up ES, as long as it works...

Hi all, I have been using my Steam Deck for emulation for a while now but wondered if there was any way to launch RPGMaker XP games directly from Emulation Station? I have previously just been adding the .exe file to Steam and launching it from the non-steam section of my library but having it launch through ES would be nice to have everything all in one place and not have to go out of my way to play individual titles. Is there a workaround for this? I've tried searching but past threads offer little info on this. Many thanks :)

I don't use it so I want to uninstall it.

Ive downloaded the bios already, it just seems to be having a problem detecting it? I unzip the bios and put it in the bios folder but it can never detect it and says its missing still. Ive been reading guides all night and none seem to work/have conflicting info. Any help would be appreciated!

I'm attempting to set up my steam deck on a dock connected to my tv, so I want to be able to use my ps5 controller. I have the controller connected via bluetooth, and can control the system in its normal boot mode. Once I boot a game through Eden/emudeck (Eden the launcher, shows in my library through steam os manager via emudeck) the controller no longer works. I have set up the controller via Eden in desktop mode, and verified it works while staying in desktop mode, but as soon as I go back to normal mode and select the game through the library, I'm no longer able to use it again.

So I just downloaded the Europe Version of the WiiU rom then the respective DLC and Updates via WiiU Downloader and when I open the game I just get a black screen.

I really want to play this game (I will not be playing the ps3 version even though I know it’s an option) on cemu so I can sync with my AYN THOR.

Does anyone know how to fix this? Please help me.

I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s the rom itself cuz I tried to run the game without any dlc or updates and still a black screen. I will try to download it from another source.

I definitely think it was that rom itself as I have downloaded the USA Version from the Drontard YouTube video and it is running well and fine.

I bought a Steam Deck a while ago and installed Emudeck and it was great. It didn't put the individual games in my Steam library but instead had them under the "Collections" tab. Each system had it's own folder under Collections which was really nice.

I just got a Legion Go S recently and when I installed Emudeck I must have done something wrong. My individual roms show up in the Steam library makign the list of games ridiculously long and hard to manage.

How can I install Emudeck so that the roms aren't in my library but are in the collections tab under their own system?
