How do I get rid of this window
This window keeps popping up even though I close it every time. Does anyone know what this is for or what I did for it to show.

Hey all, I’ve found a couple threads on this but none have solved the issue fully. Not getting any controller input to work when in gaming mode and playing twilight princess hd on emudeck via cemu.
People suggested going to desktop and configuring the input via cemu main menu and running it there, but when I do some controls seem to be hot keyed to exit out of full screen mode or move a mouse and so it doesn’t really work. Not sure how to fix that, admittedly separate issue. Edit: I found that by opening steam app in desktop mode and going to settings> controller> show advanced settings and editing the desktop layout allowed me to fix this.
Ideally would love to just play it in gaming mode in pro controller config. Any suggestions?
I want to be able tonuse this Syncthing so I can be able to have my Bazzite PC, Steam Deck, and possibly the Steam Machine share my emulated game saves. But I'm having a tough time trying to get it set up.
Here are the steps I took so far:
On Deckyloader, I downloaded the Syncthing plugin on both my PC and Deck
I went to desktop, downloaded and ran Syncthingy on both. I made sure to click on the widget in the bottom right and click to let it install before copying and pasting the line of code in the terminal and running.
I went back to my synthing plugin on both devices, chose symcthingy as my method, and the plugins seemed to successfully load.
On my Bazzite web api, I created a PS2 folder directory with the folder name as emuSync, the group folder as EmuSyncGroup, and the directory being in my emulation/saves/pcsx2/saves folder before saving.
I think I did a few other additional steps, but I forgot what they were. When I try reading or watching all the various instructions, they seem to tend to diverge from what I specifically need.
For those who use the SyncThingy method for emudeck on a Steam Deck and Linux desktop, what are all the exact steps I should take (start to finish, preferably)?
Hello, i'm completly new to the EmuDeck world and i have the EarlyAccess version.
What would you suggest me to choose between Low or Highest choices ?
I tried to find any tutorial with the latest version of EmuDeck but i'm afraid there is no one.
So as i'm a bit lost my last option is to ask.
Thank you.
Hello people,
I've never used an emulator before but having just bought a new Asus Xbox Ally was advised this is the best way forward to play older games from PS, Xbox and Nintendo devices.
Can you give me any tips and tricks to get me started and also any sources for games please?
Thanks 😊
hi! so i recently downloaded senpai_decks version of sh3 enhanced edition, and every button is working properly EXCEPT for the ready attack and attack buttons. is there any way i can fix this without having to scrap his version of the game entirely? please let me know!
I can say that emulating on the deck has been surreal. being able to play games on consoles I had as a child has been an amazing treat. especially on the go. however, it hasn’t been without its issues. n64 games don’t register button presses at all. Gears of war 2 pops an error message that states there is an error initializing the network. On single player. not in the title, but ps3 games have cackling and audio glitches too.
Thank you to all who reply with remedies.
Can someone help me get this figured out so I can play at least ps2 games
For the love of god I have been trying to get this game to run on both rpsc and ryujinx and it just will not work. For the ps3 it just gets stuck on the boot up and the switch has some of the worst graphical errors I have ever seen. Has anyone got it to run on any emulators? And no I don’t want to just buy it on steam, it’s 40 dollars.
Edit: just tried it on cemu as well and it has the same graphic glitch.
I will start by saying that I installed Emudeck ages ago and then that last time I opened Cemu was a year ago. But I did however opened another Emudeck app yesterday, emulation station which you can also ran Cemu from, and maybe even opened in the week when Cemu got compromised. But again I only opened the GBA emulator through the Emulation station.
Still I want to check what version of Cemu I have and if I am infacted. Only thing is I am not a Linux user so stuff seems a lot harder for me to check. Not that I am not a tech savvy person, just not a Linux one
Im running edens latest nightly build, on steam os, on an rog ally z1e. my issue is that the keyboard wont show the the text im entering, or rather the game behind it. i tried changing the keyboard applet, and turning on applet overlay, i think its due to how steam os operates window priority. anyone know of a fix?
I just found this listing in the Target app. Is this legit? And would it be worth buying from here instead of direct from the Retroid website?
I have a Legion Go S with SteamOS installed and have been playing various emulators through EmuDeck, including Dolphin and RetroArch (N64, SNES, Sega Genesis). In every single game, after about 30-60 mins, the screen goes black and the entire system crashes and restarts. Sometimes it crashes while the game is paused. None of my games from the Steam store have this issue. I’ve tried updating my emulators via EmuDeck in desktop mode, enabling crash logs (but the log files never get written), but I’m not sure what else to do because it seems like no one else has had this problem. Do I need to uninstall/reinstall everything?
Hi, for context I never had a handheld console before, but the popularity of pokémon champions has me wondering which would be the best fit for this, because from what i can gather, the emulators on the deck don’t allow me to play online, correct? and being that that’s the whole gimmick of the game it doensnt make sense. or maybe the emulators allow you to play online and i just didn’t do my research right. Thank you
Just got introduced to the pc world and finally installed emu deck to play some GameCube games, problems is idk where to get them lol any help would be greatly appreciated 😅🙏🏾 really wanna play wind waker and gale of darkness again
I really would like to use the mGBA emulator through Dolphin to evolve a Scyther in Pokemon XD. I've gotten to the point where I can pull up the GBA window while in Dolphin, but the current problem is that when I go to open a ROM in mGBA, I can't find the file. I go to where the files would normally be located (Emulation/roms/gba), but the only file it shows is a folder labelled "media" that has nothing useful in it.
Some other information that may or may not be relevant:
I've run everything through Steam ROM Manager and accessed the GBA game I want (Pokemon Emerald) with no problems (to get to the point that I could trade with XD)
There is another .gba in the folder (Sonic Advance 2) but it also does not show up
I've launched desktop mode several times to check that, yes, the files ARE in the correct place. However, even when I launch Dolphin while in desktop mode, I have the same issue of not being able to find the correct files
I've been saving these files on an SD card, but I never remove the SD card from my Deck
I've tried to find more information on this subject but I haven't found anything helpful yet. I'm sure the solution is simple but I am not great at file-finding even on Windows and I have very little experience with Linux. If anyone has any information, please respond if you can. I'll answer any questions about what I did if that's relevant.
I have the PS3 version of "The Simpsons Game" on my RPCS3. It's in my emulation/roms/ps3 folder. The .iso is recognized in my emulator and boots up. However, the parser in the emudeck app doesn't seem to recognize the game. I also can't seem to create a steam game shortcut from the RPCS3 emulator as it's faded out (I can't shut down Steam because I access the emulator through it).
Any insight as to what I must do?
it's weird, I always use ES-DE to launch emulated games on my Steam Deck in Game Mode, this works fine for all emulators when I use the deck as a handheld. And all emulators (Eden, Duckstation, Cemu, etc.) also work fine when I have the deck docked and use the new Steam controller. But Dolphin doesn't, the new Steam controller doesn't register any input when I launch a Gamecube or Wii game through ES-DE (I have custom controller layouts for all my emulators).
Strange thing is that when I lauch Dolphin directly in Game Mode (I added the emu as a non-steam game to the library), then the controller works as it should, all inputs are registered as I defined them in the Dolphin controller layout.
Why does the controller refuses to work with Dolphin when launching games through ES-DE?
Specifically the command Eden adds to launch options that immediately opens a game added through ROM manager rather than opening the emulator first (vblank_mode=0 %command% -f -g “/home/deck/Emulation/roms/switch/example.nsp”), alongside the LSFG (~/lsfg %command%) frame gen launch command.
I used to use Yuzu which didn’t need an immediate game launch command, alongside LSFG set to 60fps, as it meant I didn’t need 60fps mods (and I could use it for games with no 60fps mods) and it meant the game speed for switch games didn’t double with the higher framerate. However swapping to Eden, it instead seems to require the launch command to open a game right away rather than the emulator, and inputting the LSFG command after that command gives me a “this ROM format is not supported” error and the game doesn’t launch. Is there a specific way to order or input the launch commands for this to work? Or is this just not possible with Eden?
Thanks!
Sorry I am using EmuDeck on my steam deck and I just found out about this and have unfortunately updated EmuDeck in the last few days and I don’t remember if I also updated EmuDeck during the infection period (I stupidly update it pretty regularly). As such I have a few questions:
Thanks everyone!
Edit: do I need to also change my WiFi passwords or just my steam account?
