Weird looking rotala sp "orange"

I recently ordered rotala orange and received this kinda creepy looking plant tops that were completely colourless with stunted leaves

It was grown emersed, evident by the rounded leaves, my first thought was I'm looking at the plant roots 😂, turns out the white shoots are the tops and some sort of leaf buds?

A key thing to note is plant came in a dark box with no light for 3 days: justifies colourless growth as no chlorophyll or other pigments are activated without light

Still kinda amazed because other rotalas shipped with it had no such growth, completely emersed high red variety(on the left) and submerged growth of rotala sp. 'big bear" on the right, none had such white shoots

I'm not concerned because with the almost predatory growth rate of rotalas, I expect normal growth to resume soon
