Today just wasn't my (Whoop's) day

First, I totally understand that none of this actually matters. In reality, I had a big day, and I still feel good, which is really the main thing. But it's also mildly annoying.

I woke up this morning like usual. Better than usual, actually, felt good. I did a manual sleep start last night, so I click "end & save" and ... nothing happens. It sits on the "saving" circle for several minutes (well past the time it usually takes to save anything). After another minute or two, I force close the app and re-open it. Stuck on the splash screen for another three/four/five minutes. Repeat. Reboot phone. Still nothing. Eventually after three reboots, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, and resetting my VPN connection (I think the VPN was the actual problem), I get the app to open.

Apparently I got up for the day at 3:52 a.m., and then there's a three-hour gap with no data. Fine, whatever, I manage to reset the time manually, but it's still telling me I have a two-hour sleep debt. AI submits a CS ticket, who knows what'll happen with that.

Maybe the data corrupted. Maybe it didn't. If it didn't, what's the point of having 14 days of onboard memory if you're going to immediately wipe the data after it syncs? Just keep it onboard until it falls off the way it does if you don't sync for more than 14 days.

I get on with my day, and spend two hours hiking in the afternoon. Started manually, confirmed everything was tracking before I put the phone in my pocket. I finish the hike and Whoop has switched it to a walk. I edit the activity to correct it, then pop over to Strava to make sure it ported over correctly and ... the GPS data is missing (shows up perfectly in Whoop).

Normally I wouldn't care, but I'm doing the Lowa 100k May challenge, which requires GPS to "count." The data is there, but apparently I can't re-send it to Strava. I've been working a lot lately, and a little bit behind the pace for the challenge. I did over 10km today, which would've put me past the halfway point for the month.

Is the lesson here to log the activity in Strava and let Whoop figure it out? All the permissions are set correctly (Strava, Apple Health). I don't know.

Hi, first post and all.

I got the Rucker 4.0 about a year ago (blackout because I'm boring), and I've been mulling over the idea of the morale patch basically on and off since then. I haven't done any events/earned anything (signed up for one of the 9/11 days, has anyone gotten any follow-up communications?)

I didn't want to just do some random pop culture thing from the internet, and I wanted something that might seem a little friendlier out on the trails.

Finally landed on an idea that I liked (custom from https://www.etsy.com/shop/FourKeysLLC). It's Icelandic for "don't think." I'm also a big fan of Ólafur Arnalds.
