I’m a 2025 grad from Delhi NCR, India and recently got two offers:

Current TC (12 LPA)

• Zepto — SWE-1 (Bangalore)
• Amazon — SDE-1 (FTC) (Delhi NCR)

Comp details:

Amazon:

• 21 LPA base
• 1 year FTC role
• No RSUs/joining bonus
• 5 days WFO

Zepto:

• Slightly higher base
• Joining bonus + ESOPs (10-15L vested/ 4 years)
• 5 days WFO

I’m really confused about which one to choose.

For Amazon, the recruiter mentioned that FTC conversion depends on both performance and headcount. I spoke to a few recent FTC hires, some got converted within the same org or through internal interviews, while others didn’t, so the outcome seems pretty uncertain.

Another factor is that I’m currently in Google L3 team matching since early this year for Europe region, but there hasn’t been much movement yet. The feedback remains valid for quite some time and may potentially be reusable across regions depending on recruiter/HM alignment.

Would appreciate honest opinions on which would be the better choice in the current market?

I recently got a call from Zepto HR for an SDE-1 role. The process has 4 rounds.

Round 1 (DSA): Valid Tree and Asteroid Collision
Got a call from HR the same day to schedule the next round.

Round 2 (DSA/LLD): Movie Booking System (my performance was mixed)

It’s been a few days since Round 2 (including the weekend), and I haven’t received any update yet. I also reached out to the recruiter via email but haven’t heard back.

Is this normal, or should I assume I’m out? Has anyone else experienced delays after the second round at Zepto?
