TOT insensitive

You’d think after going through infertility, she’d be more aware of how off putting stuff like this if you’re still in the thick of it.

I went through infertility. I know you just wanna soak in finally being a mom and talk only about being a mom, but I would legit never post something like this because I know how hard it is. And her page was a source of inspiration for others going through infertility and some may still be on their journeys.

Just very very insensitive and she of all people should know that. Even her response to this person who is still trying is lowkey insensitive.

Finally approved after 2 years! 🥳

I (USC) and my husband had applied for his green card nearly 2 years ago.

Our lawyer officially submitted everything October 24, 2024.

It was static silence until November 2025, where we finally got the biometrics (November 6) and interview requests (December 12). We are on Long Island, NY and went to the Holtsville field office.

The ISO was extremely chill, hardly ever asked us any questions except for what was required. Didn’t question our marriage or how long we’ve known each other, family questions, etc that we had prepped for (our lawyer gave us an extensive list of questions that could be asked). He just went off what we submitted and was satisfied with that. Our ISO told us verbally we had been approved.

Then it was silence again for 4 months. I checked the USCIS page daily, pestered our attorney, and contacted our congresswoman to see if anything can get moving.

Finally on April 28, my husband got his employment authorization approval and card which was our biggest concern.

Then April 30 his advanced parole was approved.

On May 6, our I-130 was finallllyyy approved. But then no action had been taken on our I-485 since the day of our interview. 🫠

So more waiting games but at least we had the EAD so he could actually legally work.

But then yesterday on an unsuspecting Saturday, we got the email that action was taken on our case. Since the I-485 was the only outstanding thing, I immediately logged into our account and it turns out my husband was FINALLY approved for his green card!!

This process really felt never ending, especially since so many applied after us and got their green card within months while we were still waiting. Just luck of the draw I guess. But SO relieved to finally be done with this chapter of immigration.

But a huge shoutout to this sub because I came here a lot to find answers to my questions during this entire process as well as to know we were not alone in the green card frustrations. 🫶🏽 wishing the best for everyone else!!!
