How did Adriana/Adina/NJN and Jordan Langer meet?

I’m not trying to start troubled. I’m genuinely curious how they met, if anyone knows and can or wants to share? He’s also all over the internet for his work in commercial real estate.

Ashley Eliyahu Post About Live In Help

1- honestly most families with a sahm cannot afford live in
2- am I the only one who wants to raise my own kids instead of the help?
3- she was literally promoting the agency she used.
4- just seemed so out of touch with like normalcy I guess. I just found it like most people who need "help." It's more of a cleaning lady, maybe take out, mani/pedi self care... but live in help when not working seems like a lot.

Miriam again.

Filming her daughter coming off bus from camp.

Girl, hug your kid instead of just filming her. Didn't you miss her after a month?

Also if I were her daughter I'd feel so used. She'll realize it when she's older.

Disgusting.

And I hate how all the comments are giving her the positive reinforcement

why don’t these influencers care about their children’s safety?

maybe it’s just because I’m a mom, but this breaks my heart. especially in a time when Jews are SO targeted, it doesn’t make sense to me why you would reveal your children’s names, locations, birth days, etc. so openly.

maybe a week ago Miriam Ezagui posted a video where the top comment was “you can read the camp name on her shirt” which she ignored. again, today, she posted a video that you could clearly read her child’s school/camp name on the side of the bus.

lizzy savetzky, dayinmyjewishlife, cakemybreathaway, ALL do this. I should not know how to find their kids and their children’s full names, locations, and birthdays. the only people who I’ve seen to be really good with boundaries are Malka Levanna, Melinda Strauss, and JudaismWithJessica.

my burning question is - will it take some sort of catastrophic incident for them to stop? if you showed them the AI images people make of their children, would it end? and at what point is it child exploitation?

Isn’t this a bit mean?

I thought this wasn’t very cool to expose her name. She made a mistake. I get it that it’s upsetting, but what do you expect as an influencer? Not everyone will like you.

Kallahreadywitheli

Yes. Kallah teacher/influencer. Aside from the fact that I have issues with the whole concept of niddah, she feels very pushy, insensitive, and kind of mean. Just needed to vent about it

Miriam Ezugai

She just posted about Dassie and how currently she's friends with boys but orthodox don't encourage boys and girls to play together. YUCK bc that's not true!!! In ultra orthodox and Hasidic maybe. But in plain old orthodoxy we aren't supposed to touch or be alone (shomer negiah and yichud) but friendships and Playing together are allowed. Like at least put #hassidic #ultraorthodox and specify this isn't per the Torah it's a Chumrah for the paranoid that don't believe in platonic friendships.

Influencers children becoming influencers

Honestly it's so sad to watch. These kids have been exploited since young, and it's like they don't know any other lifestyle.

CakeMyBreath's 2 daughters have a handle and it's as if each of her children will eventually get their own. The younger ones have been born into it and their whole life is revolved around the camera. I also noticed that Moses and Ziporah have now started involving their daughter and even made a new special mum and daughter account

Esther&Sasha

Does Esther Berg realize her entire life is about showing off? I get second hand embarrassment from her posts. There is nothing genuine and loving about any of her familial interactions. It is ALL about money and showing off. I guess that is social media for you but I find her specifically to be so problematic. It is so over the top.

AMA

Does anyone else hate when influencers say AMA and make a box but when you ask them something they make a sparky rude reply. I'm not talking about an inappropriate or tone deaf question i mean if they went on a trip and blasted on socials about it and you ask them where they stayed or what a good budget is for that place they will say how creepy it is that you would ask and then say how their trip was not on a tight budget assuming the person who asked is beneath them or poor....and then when you ask them about their life not even anything personal just like how they manage kids work etc they get defensive and say how they have a real life and instagram isn't their whole life which yes it prob isn't but when u posted 40 stories throughout the entire day and the only reason u have any paycheck from social is because of engagement and followers its pretty rude to just belittle people who are curious and don't ask ridiculous questions

Elul

After seeing yet another antisemitic attack in a synagogue in NY, I wanted to come on here and share a thought, which I never really comment online or engage. I am not an influencer, I actually have a private page with just one photo of myself. It makes me very scared of what the world is coming to and it's all against us. It's more constant that I see videos and news online of antisemitic attacks, insults, physical assault, negative comments, and plain evil against Jews. For the sole fact of being Jewish, regardless of being Israeli/not Israeli, frum/not frum, Orthodox/Conservative/Secular. Just being Jewish of any kind is enough for their hate.

These are some arguments that might be used to defend this page:

  1. "This is Reddit"- Frankly, I use reddit to keep updated on topics I find interesting such as technology, travel, finance, fashion, cooking, event planning ideas, etc. It can be used for good. I'm assuming this thread popped up on my page because the algorithm knows I'm Jewish. I also want to confess that the thread that popped up on my feed was about an influencer I found annoying/strange. And I was guilty of reading it and looking at the comments. But then I realized it's wrong. Honestly, I do find some influencers annoying but I do not leave negative comments. I simply mute/block the page.
  2. "But this is a snark page"- I understand there is gossip, jealousy and simply negative talk in this world and reddit is no different. However just because there are things we know are bad in this world, doesn't mean we have to partake in it. If we're Jewish, whether frum our not, we should hold ourselves to a higher standard. Let's be honest: jealousy, speculation, lashon hara, or even excessive nosey are not great behaviors. And if you feel feisty and want to take it out on someone, please do fight all the antisemitic content there is! which you will unfortunately find a lot of...
  3. "Some influencers promote lies/make their lives seem better/display wealth excessively" - This is the whole concept of social media, people painting a picture online that is often much better than reality. I agree with this 100% and I'm not saying it's right. But do not have the power to maje anyone to feel envy unless we allow that feeling in our hearts. I have been guilty of this feeling of perhaps feeling like I'm lacking because of what others portray online but then I see the reality, and everyone does it for a reason. For some people, this is their job (making their page interesting enough to get an audience to sell to). For some people, it's for validation (which in that case I'd find it more reasonable to feel pity or even compassion, instead of jealousy). For others, they are quite creative or are great speakers, and actually feel very passionate of sharing for this purpose only. (whether it's nice recipes, art, funny videos, fashion, you name it!)

Disclaimer: Honestly, I am in a circle of wealthy people and the wealthiest people I know actually don't even have or post on social media. So it has opened my eyes even more to help me realize that often times, the people living crazy/rare experiences that others could be jealous of if it was posted, simply don't post it because... for what? Even myself, I have became more private as time goes on because I've been disappointed by "friends" showing jealousy, "friends" feeling entitled to my financial possibilities, and other lessons that have made me want to be very selective of what I share and who I share it with. But the funny thing is that nobody knows what happens behind closed doors. And another funny thing is that I've had times in my life where I've had tremendous sadness and challenges privately, yet some people have still shown jealousy for whatever reason, even one time I had just gotten discharged from the hospital and felt at my lowest. We do not know anyone's challenges. And right now, I am quite happy in life BH (I still have different/new challenges) and I wanted to write this even if some people will comment that it's a snark page and to leave, etc.

I will share some of what has worked for me to remain positive and try to be a better version of myself. And I felt very compelled to share this on this thread in the month of Elul because even if it helps one person and I get negative comments from 99 others, I will be fine with that.

  1. Anyone I find annoying, I block so I never have to see them again on my feed. That's it lol. I don't see anything wrong with protecting my visual diet.
  2. I do follow some influencers I learn from and find them positive or inspiring. I love SivansKitchen, Challahandchutzpah, Rabbi Manis Friedman, Ashley Eliyahu, Jewishgirlsclub, and if you speak Spanish, I find Rabbi Daniel R Chapan very funny and cool way of sharing knowledge. Not all influencers are bad lol.
  3. If I know Aleph, I try to teach Alef. I have a young sister and I tell her often to not be negatively influenced by what she sees online and not to believe everything she sees. We do not always know the full picture.

...so happy month of Elul! may we be closer to our best selves.

So glad I found this

I’ve disliked how Jewish social media has shifted. I know I’m biased but I miss when Jewish social media was 4-5 Facebook meme pages and YU memes stuff. I miss when there were only a few Jewish creators that just wanted to have fun instead of clout chaser after clout chaser and grifters and narcissists with stage 4 “main character” syndrome. Just glad I’m not the only person who doesn’t worship influencers like they might be more powerful than God
