Refused a booster and was told I’d have to have a higher dose before one could be offered -HHminds right to choose
I’ve been going through titration with HHminds for about 5 weeks. I’ve had issues with my methylphenidate wearing off very sharply at the end of my work day, sometimes during. I’ve been on 36mg for the last 3 weeks and had a titration call a few days ago. I said how I was doing alright on the dose and seeing good benefits but once it wore off I often became a zombie and struggled to get anything done or eat . I asked about if a booster was available to try but was basically told he didn’t offer it unless I was on a higher dose. He said the only path for me was to increase to 54mg and also gave me 2 weeks of 72mg to try which I didn’t really want. I told him I was really worried about going to a higher dose as currently the 36mg felt right for me but wore off a too sharply. I’m not really sure what to do as if I struggled with the higher doses I’m worried it’ll effect my work safety (domestic gas engineer)
My partner is also going through titration with HH minds and she’s on 36mg and was told in her call that she could get a booster or go up a dose and she chose the booster.
Is it worth trying the higher doses or potentially asking HHminds for a different doctors as mine dismisses my concerns and just said keep going with higher doses and we’ll find out. I also asked if during the process if I can try elvanse as this was my original choice but was told to try methylphenidate first but could switch, but now he told me I can’t as it would restart the process. I hate the feeling of suddenly feeling high and having a crash that feels like a party drug comedown and I struggle to see how higher doses can fix this
Sorry for the long rambling message, any advise or shared experience with being ignored or with HHminds would be greatly appreciated.
