Is the jump from a Kawasaki Z125 Pro to Yamaha MT07 too much?

I've been riding for about 3 years now and have been riding only on my Z125 Pro. Over the course of ownership, I've put on just over 8k miles with roughly 80% being commuting/errands and 20% being some fun mountain runs.

Since I am switching jobs where I need to commute further, I've been looking into a new bike so I can take the freeway.

One bike seems like a great upgrade, which is the MT07. The MT03 seemed like another option, but from research it seems the 300 will just barely be enough for the freeway and may even be more dangerous due to the lack of power. So comes the MT07. More usable power.

Now my concern is that going from a 125cc to 689cc engine seems like quite a jump, especially with the bike being twice the weight, it seems a bit too much of a jump. But am I just overthinking it?

Curious to gather what r/newriders has to say?

Any suggestions for dealing with an autistic coworker?

At work, we have our own small circle that is pretty cool as we hang out off work hours since we have a lot of similar hobbies, but there is a guy who recently joined our team. Now, the problem is he really doesn't fit in and he doesn't get the message that we don't entirely enjoy it when he's there due to his traits...

The problems:

  1. Insane rage over small things that absolutely kill the vibe. We could be talking about a thing at work, and something we said will remind him about an event that happened and he'd go off on an insane rage about it. At first it was funny, but now it's just... Uncomfortable to be around...

  2. Always trying to steer the conversation about themselves, even if it's not related. It's absolutely annoying. We could be talking about how expensive an event over the weekend was, but then it will remind him how his favorite card game would have a single card that would cost way more than our event ticket.

  3. Always bringing up random facts basically no one cares about. We could be talking about how we went to travel to some country and they will for whatever reason, remember a war that took place and give us a whole history lesson about it, when we're just talking about how their trip went...

  4. Insane lack of spatial awareness. Sometimes we'll be standing in a circle and he will budge in and stand right in the center of the circle to hear into the groups conversation... Like what?

  5. Hyperfocused on pretty much everything. Whether it be conversations, work tasks, or even just daily tasks. For conversations, we could have talked about a vacation plan and then he'll be hyperfocused on a random word like food or beach and then just steer the conversation there, when we're already talking about something else.

The list goes on and on, but how should we deal with this coworker? The problem is we can't outright tell him to f off because we work with him, but at the same time, the tension within the group with him around is quite bad to where we generally just end lunches early, basically filter out what he's saying and be super short with him.
