Reta to Tirz
I (30yom)have been on Reta since late May, slowly worked up from 0.5mg to 9mg. I only did 9mg a week and I felt horrible, so I went back down to 7mg. I have lost about 30lbs (255lbs to 227lbs). I’m a prior competitive bodybuilder and dieting isn’t new to me. But due to work stress and everything I had really let myself go for a couple years up until this point. I do believe I damaged my metabolism through extreme dieting I used to do.
I felt like 6-7mg is working at this point, but the side effects are enough of an issue that it isn’t sustainable. My primary issues with Reta are the extreme skin sensitivity all over, irritated eyes, and libido problems.
I want to try Tirz, but I was thinking as I transition it may make the most sense to start at 4mg Reta and 2.5mg tirz. As I progressively increase the tirz, I could decrease the Reta. OR if the the combo of the two was working while mitigating side effects I wouldn’t be opposed to staying there.
I know some people have strong opinions on mixing these. But please don’t suggest cagri, even at 100mcg a week it eventually starting making me feel very unwell. I’m mainly looking for experience on those who have added tirz and lowered their Reta to attempt to mitigate side effects. I am in a calorie deficit right now and my diet is continuing to be effectively allowing me to drop about a pound a week. I lift 4 times a week and am pretty good about doing cardio. I am just over the skin sensitivity and other listed side effects. Lower doses of Reta alone had lost effectiveness for me, and these side effects were still present.
Thanks!
