Can I get a second IEC?

sorry if this question is asked a lot but I’m Irish so we only get one IEC or a second through a RO which seems near impossible. I already got one IEC years ago, long story short entered Canada and and I believe I must have activated it although I did have plans to fly back home and i remember going through immigration. anyway I left and flew back to Ireland 2 weeks later and never returned. I‘m pretty sure if working permit was activated at immigration it means I can’t get another IEC regardless of how long I stayed. (so annoyed I shot myself in the foot it seems!)

edit: wondering if reaching out to immigration and explain this or if they check entry/exit and maybe would make an allowance if I applied a second time

Has anyone bought solo on low income?

Hi all, I’m with my company coming up to 10 years and make 38k ish. Looking to buy my own home - Dublin would be nice but I know on my income I can keep dreaming. I work fully remote so I’m open to anywhere outside Dublin really that has decent amenities nearby - gym, groceries, nice walks. Don’t need the big city life. Preferably somewhere coastal. I’m aware of the 4x multiplier for a mortgage - can I avail of any of the gov schemes on my income? I’m saving for a deposit and doing okay - only 11k saved atm but I’ve a good savings plan in place and I’m okay to wait a couple of years to buy (I’m 31 now, no children). I could potentially buy with my partner down the line but I like the idea of buying on my own if possible. Wondering how much of a deposit I should aim for? Also, before anyone says to increase my income - I’m working on that but could be a while yet before I do so I was wondering about my options in my current circumstances. Thank you :)
