Where do charging duration estimates come from?

I've noticed that some chargers have wildly inaccurate charging estimations. There is a ChargePoint stop rated for 400kW that is spot on. There's another ChargePoint (that's a Mercedes Benz unit) that's also rated for 400kW. The estimate for 10-80 at one is 18 minutes and the other is showing as 35 minutes. I've been to both, and they are equally fast (~260 kW for my car). I know it only affects the overall plan time estimate, but it's still less than ideal. Changing the charger's Charging settings in the popup doesn't change the estimate at all.

How do you lock the car without a key?

I unlocked the car from the house and ran out to grab something. I pressed the lock button on the inside of the door and nothing happened. I tried pressing it a lot. For a long time. From the passenger door. Nothing locked the car. So how do I lock it without a key?

Be sure to check your assessed value for tax purposes!

I got my first property tax bill for my 2026 and it was valued at a whopping $62,140! I got on my local county website and appealed the value. I provided my bill of sale and local listings for the car. I suggested the tax value should be $42,000 based on that information. In a week they sent this letter in response. It saved me about $130.

What did you drive before?

I see a lot of comments about this car weighing so much, how the turning radius is trash, and how it's the nicest car they've driven.

My previous vehicle was an Explorer Platinum. It was only slightly larger than the Ioniq 5, and weighed more. The turning radius was tighter, but my Focus had a wider radius.

Honestly, my Ioniq feels somewhere in between my Focus and Explorer when it comes to cornering and braking feel. It also is about as quick as the Explorer in a straight line.

All that to say, this feels like a pretty average car overall to me. So what are y'all driving that this feels like such an unusual car? I have a '26 Limited AWD.

Are the rear speakers garbage, or do I need to schedule a warranty repair?

I have a 2026 Limited and noticed that when the nav was giving directions the music sounded BAD. I adjusted the audio position to be full rear speakers only and it sounds like a pair of $100 cell phones playing music.

Is this normal? And if so, has anyone replaced the rear speakers and gotten quality audio from the stock amplifier?

I charge at home almost always. I have a road trip coming up, and decided I should try to charge at an EA station in a store's parking lot in town. I signed up for Hyundai Pay in the MyHyundai app, and even downloaded a few vendor apps (including EA).

When I got out of the car I saw that there wasn't much on the EA station's screen other than the cost and a message that I need to check the app for pricing if I am a subscribing member.

So I simply swiped my credit card at the station, plugged in, and started charging. I was never asked to identify myself, so I never got a receipt digitally or physically (which is fine this time, but not acceptable long term).

I guess I'm trying to find out if I could have activated the station via the car (plug and charge?), the MyHyundai app, or the EA app? I realize all charging vendors will be a little different, but a general rundown would be appreciated. I'm in a 2026 if it makes a difference for plug and charge.
