Florges - Worth Elite TM?

Question is in the title. I've recently started playing GBL and I'm working on getting a good box together. I've managed to get a R20 Melmetal and used one of my 2 eTM to get the charged attack I needed.

When I use Oak Coliseum the team that's recommended is Altaria (R91, lead), Florges (R43, swap) and Melmetal (R20, closer). I'm using Sky Attack / Flamethrower on Altaria and haven't got Chilling Water on Florges.

So what I'd like to know: eTM on Florges for Chilling Water? Or should I get Moonblast on Altaria and swap out Florges? I have other Pokémon that need the eTM (Corviknight R2 for Iron Head, Tinkaton R8 for GHammer, Umbreon R69 for Last Resort..) but I don't have enough experience to see the best team options with those Pokémon.

Any advice would be appreciated!

New Season, New Start

Started last season with the GBL and having a blast so far. I just got somewhat used to the meta but with all the changes I find myself looking for a good start of the season. I have a number of decent IV mons, I can supplement the team with some mediocre mons but don't want to use ETMs on those (currently have 2 fast and 2 elite).

Good IV mons that can be starting points:

- Corviknight (R2 - needs 2 ETM)

- Feraligator (R9)

- Talonflame (R10 - needs 1 ETM)

- Walrein (R10)

- K-Marowak (R11)

- Azumarill (R12 - need tons more XL candy)

- Jellicent (R19)

- Meltan (R20 - need some more candy + 1 ETM)

- Thievul (R26)

- Ninetales (R28 - needs 2 ETM)

- Drapion (R38)

- Clodsire (R53)

- Furret (R64)

- Cradily (R87)

- Tinkaton (R91 - needs 1 ETM)

- Swablu (R91 - needs 1 ETM - prefer to wait for a better rank)

Any decent starting team to make out of these mons? I have a number of other mons that I can use for the time being but want to catch better IV spreads off. Also with the limited number of ETMs available to me I want to make the right choice.

Any help is much appreciated

Where do I start!?

So, I've read a lot of text on the PvP part of Go and I think I understand most if not all of it. However, I'm stuck getting actually started. It feels like I should be theorycrafting a team, but this should mostly be based on what I have - which is very little.

My idea was to pick a team for Ultra League, level it for the 1500 league and save up playing that to make the step up to Ultra. I don't have Elite charged TM so that is a problem, furthermore I lack the Pokemon that are top ranked, and if I have them it is from before (with wrong IVs, for instance I have Empoleon with 13/14/15 spread with sucks for PvP).

How do I get into this? I started using Battleflow to scan the Pokémon I catch - when is something good enough to invest in? Is >95% good enough? Do I start picking a team with shit IV or do I wait for a good one meaning I don't play until that time? The investment for each Pokémon is quite steep so I don't feel it's an option to just level something and go with it.

So I feel quite stuck, I don't want to invest before I have a team I like but it seems to me I don't have the Pokémon to start anyways. Any advice would be most welcome!
