Edit: after reading everyone's replies, I'll probably be going with getting a portable monitor and wireless keyboard/mouse. in hindsight that would be simpler 'xD . i just thought "I want the convenience of a laptop with the power of a PC", and wondered if i could just merge the 2. thank you for all your answers, everyone n_n

I need to be able use my PC from bed for medical reasons. can i buy laptops that are cheaper because they dont have the parts that your computer tower uses (CPU, motherboard, idk the word), and just make my PC show its display on the laptop screen, and respond to the laptop's keyboard? i don't mind needing to have a couple cords attaching them

also, bonus question: could such a laptop still have functional USB ports, basically adding more USB ports to my PC?

i can sometimes send some pretty… questionable texts to my friend that I'd reeeally rather not accidentally send to my grandma. is there an app or something that'll let me select any of my contacts, and then it'll ask me to confirm before sending texts to them? or anything else thatll prevent awkward stray texts
