So I use chatgpt for lots of my personal projects. I'm currently working on a ford cummins swap. Putting a dodge cummins into an old ford truck... But that dosnt matter for my question.

So chatgpt says it can make me a program that'll run on a raspberry pi and display engine sensor data. There's obviously more to it than that but really?

I've started the process with chatgpt and we have a gui and simulated sensor data displaying but there is alot of work testing and qualifying yet to do. It actually created a development schedule with stages and goals.

I can bolt things and weld things and handle simple electronics and wiring but I have 0 experience coding.

Is this really something that ai can reliably do?
Or is this some hallucination and I'm going to spend hours doing this to never finish?
