Antimere - Arise (Official Audio)

First song off of Antimere's first album 'With Eyes Serene'. This album feels VERY different than One With The Stream, and it is SO FREAKING HEAVY, like Jesus Christ, where has this been all my life.

Been a Fan of Vanoss since mid 2014 so when he started making music under his own name I was very Interested and wanted to see him progress through it.

Spawn!, miss melancholy and This One's For Me. gave good hopes in the future and when I saw this Album finally appear I instantly saved it and waited for it's release and now we are here

Individual Song Reviews:

sickening: 8/10

a Good Introduction song to the album, It includes all the elements of the rest of the album, giving you a good understand of what is to come next. It has a nice groove, The Bass Guitar that is played in the entire song makes me want to bob my head up and down lol. it's ending also has a nice transition into the next song.

mammet: 8/10

the 2nd shortest on the album, it starts off with an acoustic guitar before flip into the alternative Rock section which has a very nice groove to it which I like a Lot.

breathe: 7/10

I sadly couldn't get into this song, which is a bit sad since it's the first single of the album. maybe If I listen to it a bit more, this opinion will change. I'm not saying I hate this nor dislike it. I like, It's good. I just need more time with it

pe$o$: 10/10

the second single is honestly one of the best songs on the album. It's groove is infectious and can easily lead you into putting the song on loop for quiet a while. the guitar sticks rent free in my view and Evan's Vocals are some of the strongest on this song throughout the album. a must add to a playlist

snail: 9/10

snail continues what I like about pe$o$. It's groove is infectious leading to it to be Evan's Vocals are even stronger here than on pe$o$ I would argue. the one part that stops it from being a 10/10 is that it is the shortest song of the album, leading to enjoyability factor to only last for only so long.

mailman: 10/10

When I first heard the vocals on the first verse chuckled a bit, It was just unexpected on the first listen. on the 2nd listen though It gives it a Deep Low Groove which adds a lot of character to the song when compared with the rest of the album. the atmospheric sections and the little breakdown that builds up into the final Chorus is a major highlight of the Album, It's heavy and groovy which I love a lot. mailman has to be my favorite song on the album, wish it was a single, that's how good it is.

Edit: Mailman got a music video. Lets go!

skin: 10/10

skin reminds me of "Ain't no rest for the wicked" by Cage The Elephant (possibly inspired?). the Verses and Chorus are strong vocally and the Chorus are Heavy which I like a lot about it. It has roughly the same length as pe$o$ making it's enjoyability factor the same as it. Very Infectious Groove and very loopy, but even more even more heavy.

ransom: 9/10

ransom has some of my my favorite parts of ransom, it shows Evan is taking more risks with his vocals, trying out these deeper solo singing which works a lot with the Lyrics said with in these deep parts. reminds me a lot of Depeche Mode. the song is very good.

flowers: 9/10

flowers is the closer of the album, It builds up and continues to build up until the final climax of the song. It has some of my favorite Atmospheric sections of the entire album which is fitting since It is the closer of speed. It's also the longest song of the album, being 3 minutes and 36 seconds, but the vocals end at 2:55 making the rest of 41 seconds being atmospheric sounds which honestly makes it very hypnotizing. It deserves it spot here and It is an amazing closer of the album

Overall Review: 8.9/10

speed is a good first album release by Evan, the album has a length of 23 mins making it a pretty short listen but easy to get into. It's Production is very good and It showed in it. The Album is a nice blend of Pop and Alternative Rock which I think most people will like with how well It is executed. What I like most about it is that all the songs have a Atmosphere to them, synths and Electronic noises help make you feel hypnotized and relaxed by just listening to them. the first 3 songs were a bit of a miss for me, but the rest of album are honestly some of the best debut album songs I've ever heard. It's a amazing step into the right direction and hopeful for the future. It makes me very happy that Evan was able to deliver on such a good work of music.
