If humans lived till 25. Would we even be working this much?
If humans only lived till 25, there’s no way society would have us working this much. Imagine spending almost your entire life stressed about jobs, bills, careers, and saving for a future you’d barely even reach. People would probably see how insane it is to waste most of your short life sitting at work exhausted every day. We’d focus way more on actually living — being with people we care about, experiencing things, making memories, and enjoying the little time we had instead of constantly grinding for “later.” A lot of the reason people tolerate working nonstop now is because we expect to live long enough for it to eventually pay off. If life ended at 25, that whole mindset would probably collapse.
