"After 10 months of use, this is what happened to the earbud that was supposed to be the most flexible."

English translation:

I used them normally, and I didn't even put them in the carrying pouch that came with them because I thought it might increase the risk of breaking them. Instead, I always kept them in their case for the past 10 months, lol. I used them carefully and normally, and there were even some months when I barely used them at all. Then I come back and this problem happens.

I'm honestly disappointed. I was torn between these and the Sony ULT headphones. I was worried about the Sony ones because hinge issues seem to be quite common with them, so I chose the Space One Pro instead. Unfortunately, it turns out that Soundcore suffers from the same problem as well.

In the end, what is the solution to this issue?

Running DOOM on soundcores + announcing early release of my project for modifying the firmware and running custom code on soundcore headphones

hey! i'm nnonick, a 15-year-old security researcher

for the past few months i've been reverse-engineering my soundcore life q35 headphones. today i'm releasing an early version of openqore - an open-source toolkit to modify the firmware of soundcore headphones. for example, it allows you to replace the system sounds in your headphones and improve their sound quality!

please check it out :)

https://github.com/nnonickreal/openqore

openqore discord server: https://discord.gg/EPjhKzUHVq

i also ported openpinebuds (custom firmware SDK) project on headphones, but it's in alpha state. check it out: https://github.com/nnonickreal/openqore-sdk

as a demo, i created DOOMcore - a port of DOOM based on the amazing DOOMBuds project by Arin Sarkisian!

DOOMBuds (original Arin's project): https://github.com/arin-s/DOOMBuds

DOOMcore (my soundcore port): https://github.com/nnonickreal/DOOMcore

i’m looking for testers with UART who are willing to take their headphones apart. if you meet these requirements, please visit the server or send me a private message!

firmware flashing over-the-air will be available soon (i hope), so keep an eye on the latest news on the Discord server!

have a good day c:
