Do you guys believe the new ‘plot leak’?

I mean I’m torn, it sounds quite believable and well put together but at the same time we had that leak about 5 months ago that also seemed quite legit and only got disproven after trailer 2 came out

I just keep thinking about The Boys, and how many ‘leaks’ about the finale came out that seemed legit and turned out to be a load of BS

And how people made fake plot leaks for Endgame, FFH and NWH, I even made my own fake Endgame plot leak back then and a bunch of people believed it, then about a week before release I revealed it was all made up, but because I based my ‘leak’ off of leaked clips and just predicted stuff that might happen, about 80% of it actually ended up being legit, but like I said it was just a guessing game based off of leaks

Plus the timing is so close to the release date and there’s no indication of a controversial ending that divided test audiences

The spider tracker showing he’s off world makes no sense since it’s not literally tracking him like a GPS, unless Ned shoved a probe up his ass while he’s asleep

I met former world champion George Best!

I competed in a tournament on Sunday (5th place in kata, 4th in kumite between 3 fights including the semi-finals match) and George made a surprise appearance, he’s a really friendly and down to Earth guy and even helped coach one of our students for kumite

What do you think their team name will be?

Maybe "Avenging Squad", (since that was the name of Soldier boy's WWII team in the comics), but the name kinda sucks tbh.

What kata did you do for your Shodan grading?

We had to do all the brown belt kata for my grading earlier this year (as well as the Heian kata + Tekki Shodan) and choose one as our graded kata, I did Kanku Dai

Whenever I tell people that I chose KD they look at me like I’m a madman, even the panel of Senseis that graded me called me a “brave man” when I said that was my chosen kata 😅

I was talking with a friend from work today who’s also a Shotokan black belt and mentioned that I’m competing soon, so we started discussing kata and he started talking about Bassai Dai being a good competition kata, so I mentioned that was originally gonna be my choice for Shodan but closer to the date I settled on Kanku Dai and he said he wouldn’t have done that kata since it’s a risky and highly technical one

Over the years I’ve come to truly appreciate kata, as it’s helped to improve my kihon and kumite. It’s part of what I call the holy trinity of karate (kihon, kata, kumite) and sometimes I find it calming just to practise kata in my garden after a long day of work or on my day off when I wake up in the morning

The bunkai from Heian Shodan even stopped me from getting my phone stolen last month, someone tried to snatch my phone out of my hands at a crowded train station and I brought my arm across my body to block/ redirect his arm like in move 4 and struck the guy in the chest (I’ve been taught that the move can be an uraken to the face or a tetsui to the body) and then shoved him and yelled (kiai) to attract attention and it was something I did subconsciously, like my body was just on autopilot, I wouldn’t have been able without my training
