3d printer cutting module worked!

I posted a while ago asking if anyone had tried using the cutter / plotter module for BambuLab printers to cut instead of a Silhouette etc

No one at the time had, I gave it a go and it worked :D

Couple of things, I had the base model H2S so had to buy and install the Birds Eye Camera (£45) and the cutting / plotter module (£55) to get good results

So, holofoil sticker paper on Koala cardstock, laminated and then put onto the cutting bed using the "0.3mm PVC" settings to test

I ever so slightly misaligned the cutting template (From Proxxied) but the rest worked out great!

Using tips from this sub, getting closer to perfect!

A simple tip about not using Adobe RGB as the colour preset on my printer has vastly improved the out for me :)

Success! No more thin cut outs lol

Finally happy with how my proxies of The Hobbit banquet scene turned out!

Slightly messed up the one corner on Thorin but apart from that, happy days :D

Gutted! Always measure 5 times before cutting lol

Got all the way to the last stage to notice I’d cut the entire sheet every so slightly too thin lol Leaving a lovely line down the side from the card underneath :(

Rear feed vs Rear feed slot

I have the Epson XP 8700, I love it currently and have printed everything I’ve wanted with no problems so far.

I’m now looking to print onto some thicker cardstock, 300gsm or a bit higher.

The manufacturer instructions say to read feed but not use the rear feed slot as it’ll be too thick
I’ve noticed that there is a section that comes off the back of my printer that appears to give a straight and level feed path through the printer but I’m a bit scared to try it lo

Has anyone used it in this way?

XP-8700 ink alternatives?

Hi,

I'm looking for a way to try to cut costs down slightly on the ink replacement for my XP-8700
It uses the 378 "Squirrel" cartridges - does anyone know of any 3rd party inks that work?

EDIT: I have found some alternative cartridges that work perfectly! I'm not sure whether me putting the link here counts as advertising so just DM me if you're having the same issue :)

Roller marks on Epson XP8700 prints :(

I'm trying to print some Pokémon TCG Pocket proxies but having a bit of an issue.

As you can see in the photo, I'm getting roller marks on my prints, I'm using

Epson XP8700

Rear Feed

Epson Photo Sticker (Epson Vivid produced more tracks than this)

A4 Vinyl clear stickers (For inkjet)

Does anyone have any advice? I've done the print head clean and alignment maintenance etc

Has anyone done any Abra customs?

Was my favourite pokémon back when I played Gen 1 back when it was released but you never see any decent full arts, plenty of Alakazam and some decent Kadabra cards but Abra always gets left out lol

Newbie here: Epson Expression Photo XP-8700 vs Epson EcoTank ET-2950

I’m just starting out in my custom card journey, I currently have a Brother LED Laser printer which is decent but not quite the level I want.

On my beginners budget I’ve narrowed it down to the 2 printers in the title, what would be everyone’s recommendation?
