Building Database For New Market

Hi y'all,

I am back in the recruiting space after a ten-year hiatus. I was hired on by an agency ran by former colleagues to help them build a new market.

One thing we are investigating is any ways to jump-start data. What I mean by data is managers in the system/candidates relevant to this market.

During my 10-year hiatus I ran several highly successful home services sales teams. The industry I was in was killed by new tax legislation (solar). When I first started doing that, you could actually buy valuable data, but over the years that became much more difficult to do successfully. Ultimately I decided it was typically a waste of money.

Right now I am manually adding managers via Lusha and LinkedIn but I'm wondering if anyone has ever had any success in buying data or maybe even offshoring data entry. We are also considering some summer interns to help with this task.

This will be a niche brand of our existing company.

I am open to suggestions if you have any.
