My 2 year old still in the 2% for height

Hi everyone,
my baby boy was born at 34 weeks, measuring in the 0th percentile for height and the 1st percentile for weight due to severe growth restriction from placental insufficiency. He’s now a little over 2 years old and truly thriving in every way — no delays, no health issues at all, super smart and talkative — except that he remains around the 2nd percentile for height.

We were told he would likely catch up by age 2, but that hasn’t happened. I’m his mom, and I’m quite tall (172 cm / 5'6"), and his dad is very tall (192 cm / 6'3"), so I’m starting to worry about whether he will catch up and when it might be appropriate to ask for an endocrinology referral.

Has anyone been through something similar, or have thoughts on when it’s reasonable to advocate for further evaluation?
