I think I know the answer to this, but I thought it'd be worth asking here anyway. I developed alopecia barbae about a year ago, and have pretty extensive hair loss in my bear area, which is still progressing. I got my hair cut yesterday and noticed this little bald patch on the back of my head for the first time when the barber held the mirror up. As I said, given I already have alopecia barbae, I'm assuming this is just confirmation that it's spreading to my head, but as the patch is pretty much on the crown, I'm wondering if there's any chance at all this could just be the start of male-pattern baldness instead?
