Just finished The Faith of Beasts and loved it. Can’t fucking wait for another book.

But just sitting here, half a day later, thinking about the big reveal of the Sovran toward the end of the book.

So it turns out the current Sovran had only been there for eight years, and that’s considered on the longer side of Sovran reigns. And yet the endless Carryx Empire continues on seamlessly to the next ruthless leader and perhaps the key to tearing it all down goes beyond the single evil head, and is going to take some fucking work.

Eight years. About the exact length of oh, say, a couple of Presidential terms, eh?
