Betta fish turning grey after being completely fine
My betta has been rapidly losing color and developed stress itch. I got him a week ago at the pet store and he was completely grey. When I brought him home he was very active and began shifting to purple. he became very vibrant for a while and was super exited to get fed. 2 days ago, he became quite shy and lethargic and has been losing color. I am really worried since I'm new to fishkeeping. He is spitting out food I give him even though its the same food he was eating before. The water temp and all tank parameters are the same. I have 0 nitrite and nitrate, my PH is at around 7.8 (I have driftwood), alkalinity is a bit high but has been since I have added him to my tank. The tank is a community tanks and he is super chill with them but the other fish seem to have no issues. I am just worried and want to know if there is anything I can do to help.
