Solaire 7707 Warning
I had commented this somewhere else in this sub but thought it may be useful to anyone else moving into a Solaire or Washington Property apartment:
“I can’t speak on 7607 but I live in 7707 which is owned by the same management company. I moved in back in March but shortly before my move in the property manager Rachel quit. They moved the 7607 leasing agent Jonathon and he shared responsibility over the two buildings.
When it came time to move in, I called two days before I was set to pick up keys and no one picked up the phone. Since I lived nearby I decided to stop by the leasing office and he was not aware that I was due to move in (this was after the lease was signed). We squared away residual paper work but he told me that no one from the leasing office would be there for move in so I would need to contact the concierge to get my keys and elevator for move in.
When it came time for move in, I was able to secure the keys and elevator without issue however I had requested two door keys and 3 mail box keys since I live with my partner. What I got instead was one door key and one mailbox key. I emailed Jonathon over weeks without reply until I sent a passive aggressive email about copying the key myself and eventually met him in person where he more or less said “we cant make any keys at the moment” this was a hassle since I live with my partner so one of us basically always has to be home to let the other in. It’s now been 3 months and we still only have one key. We also have a new leasing agent in out building and the excuse I got was “the manufacturer discontinued your model of key so there’s nothing that we can do”, which doesn’t seem plausible since other people seem to be moving in.
In terms of maintenance, we had a light bulb go out and that was replaced the next day after submitting a maintenance request. The premises are kept very clean and I have no complaints there. Packages are brought to the package room and I have no security complaints.
In terms of the concierge, there is not 24 hour concierge and their hours seem very sporadic. Some days we have a concierge working and others we do not it is very random. Sometime there will be a concierge working until the early afternoon other times they will stay until 8PM. There is simply no way of knowing.
I’m hoping the issues I noted will be improved upon but there is no way of knowing. In terms of the key I think that I will just make a copy at this point as my patience with the management company is starting to wear thin.”
