>At this year’s Beijing Auto Show, part of Huawei’s Qiankun technology conference, the company debuted a new car headlight platform that integrates a full-color projection system for both safety features and recreational fun.
>The new XPixel platform has been upgraded from its previous iteration, which was only available in monochrome, to now feature full-color projection that can throw a 100-inch picture onto a wall or projection screen. According to Huawei, this is the first time full-color projection has been adapted into automotive headlights.
>While this novelty could turn any place into a private drive-in movie, demos at the show showed how the technology can also project arrows onto the road to help drivers navigate. Other use-cases shown at the show included the projection of games, as well as graphics that synced up with any music being played.
