Terrible battery drain & app management issues. How long does your battery last?

Hey everyone,

I have another question for you all: how is your battery life holding up? Mine is draining incredibly fast!

To give you an idea, today I started at about 9:30 AM with 80% battery, and it's already down to 18% right now, even though I've barely used it today (just very light usage).

On top of that, Instagram is super sluggish and is consuming a massive amount of battery. It got so bad that I actually had to set up a restriction to force-close the app after 10 minutes of use.

Does anyone have any tips or tweaks to improve battery life? Also, I have a couple of questions regarding app management:

  • Is using the built-in memory (hard disk) and cache cleaner actually useful, or does it drain more battery in the long run?
  • I've noticed that apps often don't seem to close completely in the background. The only thing that seems to have an effect is clearing the cache.

Any advice on how to optimize this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Android Auto bugs: No audio on incoming calls & WhatsApp voice notes not playing.

Hi everyone,

Android Auto generally works well for me, but I suspect I'm having an issue with the car's Bluetooth or something similar. I'm dealing with two specific problems, and the first one is driving me crazy:

  • No audio on incoming calls: When I receive a call and answer, I can't hear anything, and the caller can't hear me either. I managed to temporarily fix this by resetting my network settings (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and mobile data), but the issue returned after just a few days. Is there a permanent fix for this? For context, my Xiaomi (running HyperOS) is connected via cable and also paired via Bluetooth. Oddly enough, if I make an outgoing call, everything works perfectly without any issues.
  • WhatsApp voice notes have no sound: When I'm in the car and try to play a WhatsApp voice note directly from the app on my phone screen, there is absolutely no audio. Telegram voice notes, on the other hand, play perfectly fine.

Has anyone experienced this or knows how to fix it? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Xiaomi 15T Pro: Factory reset fixed most issues + Instagram bugs & battery question.

Hi everyone!

I recently factory reset my Xiaomi 15T Pro to address the list of issues I previously described here: [Link].

Now the smartphone is running much better—the battery life has improved, it's more responsive, and there are almost no freezes. To make it run even smoother, I disabled the RAM extension feature (the 12GB + 4GB setup). Honestly, 12GB of physical RAM is more than enough nowadays. The virtual RAM uses the internal storage, and for some reason, it was causing slowdowns even when the physical memory wasn't full. After turning it off, those micro-stutters I used to notice (especially on the lock screen) completely disappeared.

While the battery life is much better now, I do have a question for you all. I usually cycle the battery between 20% and 80% (sometimes it drops a bit lower), and it lasts me almost from morning to night. Of course, if I spend some time on social media like Instagram or Telegram, it drains faster. Since I got the phone back in December, I've done about 144 charge cycles. Up until yesterday, I was stuck on firmware version 3.0.9.0, but I just got the 3.0.320.0 update, so hopefully it improves even more. Still, to be honest, I expected a bit more from this battery. How is your battery life looking?

The only app that is still buggy—which makes me think it's an app issue rather than a phone issue—is Instagram. It randomly crashes and throws me back to my profile page. Also, there's a weird bug with ads: if an ad has music playing, when I scroll to the next ad, the music from the first one keeps looping over it, and the same thing happens for all subsequent ads. Have any of you encountered this?
