Debloat operation failed

I can't debloat my Redmi Note 15. I found out today that Xiaomi has restricted wireless ADB permissions, preventing Canta + Shizuku from uninstalling system apps. The "ADB permission is limited" message is the restriction imposed by hyperOS. The only possible workaround is using a PC via USB. Maybe I'll try it in a few days.

Line Appeared Out Of Nowhere

A sudden green vertical line appeared on my Xiaomi 14T Pro. What now? I bought the phone last year, April 2025. I haven't dropped it nor submerged it into water.

Anyone using the Xiaomi 17T pro chinese edition in EU?

I will be moving to Germany for masters on September this year. I am currently using an old xiaomi note 10 pro and planning to upgrade to xiaomi 17T pro CN 16/512GB. Do the chinese variants of Xioami T editions work well there? Or there can be some network issues that I may face If i dont go for the global edition?

Appreciate your time. Thanks.

Shout out to the Redmi Note 13 Pro+

That thing was in my pocket at the water park all day yesterday, even sat submerged on the lazy river for 30 minutes, never lost functionality and only needed to stick it in a bag with silica overnight for the charging capability to return.

Upgrade: Redmi Note 9S vs Note 9 Pro?

Hi there,

I had the Redmi Note 9S when it first came out and it was a really great phone, it lasted about 4 years with no issues before the charging port failed.

I then ugraded to the Redmi Note 12 Pro 4G, and while it is a great phone (my current phone), the charging port is now failing badly, and there are issues with the power button responding at times.

Do you have any recommendations in the Redmi range for a new phone?

Should I try to find a used Redmi Note 9S in good condition, or should I aim for a newer model?

I know someone who has the Redmi Note 14 and says it is crap compared to the 9S they had previously! (Are the older Redmi models better before they became more popular?)

Thanks!

Xiaomi 17 vs 17T pro

Hello everyone, I am trying to buy a new phone, but because of my OCD i cant decide between these two.

Price for 12/512 versions of these phones are 750 euros for 17t pro and 825 euros for 17.

Will 17 fell small, which is better for money. It is worth noting that my current phone is Poco X3 NFC 6/64 wich kinda refuses to die after 4.5 years of use.

Lets find the ultimate answer to this question, thank you all for commenting and helping.

Xiaomi 18 ultra delayed?

Basically I want to upgrade phones (mainly for the camera) but the 17u isn't justifiable, a the 18u might be delayed till 2028, and the 18 pro max might not have as good zoom capabilities

Is there any news about the 18 ultra and whether it's confirmed to be delayed, and is there any news on the 18 pro max telephoto camera cuz I love the 200mp periscope on the 15 ultra

Is the Redmi Note 14s worth it?

I've never had a Xiaomi phone and I'm confused from all the mixed reviews, I saw people praising the phone, saying the camera is great, and then others saying it's awful. I tried searching reviews on reddit but I can only find posts for the Redmi 14, not 14s, and from what I gathered the difference is in the cameras, right? Should I get it? Any other Xiaomi in a similar price range that I should get instead? Or should I just avoid Xiaomi if I'm going for the budget friendly options?

Coming over from Samsung to Note 14 4g, any tips?

Hi guys! I'm coming over from an Galaxy M31 that does still work but its pretty beat up (prob water damage from previous owner & screen that had to be replaced twice and ghost touches). I've recently bought a (still yet to arrive) Redmi Note 14 4g (256gb/8 ram) and it looks really good to what im aiming for! I don't do extreme gaming and my focus would mainly be videos and social media.

This would be also my first MI phone, so any tips/advices are welcome! While searching about phones from this brand i've read about all the bloatware that can come with it, so i would also like to know the safest way to remove it if possible.

Thank you guys!

Xiaomi should add an option to "permanently" adjust the auto brightness target value

I know you can manually adjust the slider while auto brightness is enabled, but it forgets your adjustment each time auto brightness is disabled.

I basically always prefer a lower screen brightness than the default auto value, both indoors and outdoors.

At nighttime indoors I usually prefer the lowest brightness (or close to it) so it doesn't become bothersome, and outdoors I rarely need the absolute max (which auto often chooses) and constant high brightness is a major factor in OLED burn-in. It should also logically drain battery faster, although when I checked with Amper I barely saw a difference between mA draw during lowest and highest brightness (it sometimes even read lower during highest brightness, which doesn't make sense).

I found a way to enable the Extra Dim setting on my Poco X8PM. It enables applying a constant dimming effect at the intensity of your choice, separate to the position of the brightness slider, but that has two issues:

  1. It seems to work by compressing the dynamic range of the digital RGB bits, so the more intense the dimming setting is the more it can crush hues.
  2. I suppose (but I'm not certain) that in OLED displays it reduces screen usage/wear practically the same as lowering the actual brightness slider, considering each pixel is its own light source as dictated by both the global brightness and the RGB data. But for LCD displays (nowadays almost exclusive to tablets) it won't reduce the intensity of the backlights, meaning it won't reduce power draw and the blacks will be whitewashed even more compared to actual lower brightness (as LCD black pixels can't effectively block all light).

Bottom line: it is a very simple feature to add as an extension of the auto brightness. I would even make it so one can either apply a uniform adjustment across the entire auto brightness range, or adjust more/less at dark/bright environments (for example, "dim more than usual when dark, maintain default brightness in daylight").

Goodbye Xiaomi. Great hardware, but HyperOS 3.0 ruined my 12T Pro. Moving to Pixel.

Hi everyone,

I just need to share my experience with my Xiaomi 12T Pro. On paper, this phone is a beast: high-end CPU, great cameras, and decent hardware overall. But the software optimization at the kernel level is, honestly, the worst I've ever experienced.

I am currently on HyperOS 3.0.3 (Spain region), and the system is just completely unoptimized:

RAM Hog: The system idle processes alone eat up around 5GB of RAM out of my 12GB.

Overheating: The phone has suffered from overheating issues since day one.

Terrible Gaming Experience: Because of the thermal issues, playing demanding games like Genshin Impact, Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ), or Red Dead Redemption (RDR) is nearly impossible. The phone literally burns your hands.

Awful Battery Life: The lack of optimization completely drains the battery, even with light use.

What’s the point of having high-end specs, deep customization, and exclusive features if the system prevents you from actually enjoying them? It feels like Xiaomi just doesn't know how to optimize their software for their own flagship hardware.

Because of this, I’ve decided to switch to a Google Pixel 9, and honestly, I don't think I'll regret it. I'm ready for a clean, stable, and well-optimized OS.

Has anyone else noticed HyperOS 3.0 making things even worse on the all XIAOMI?

Xiaomi 15T Pro - daily crash (GPS/Waze), please help

Hi all,

I use a Xiaomi 15T Pro (HyperOS version: 3.0.304). About a month and a half ago, I started experiencing an issue where Waze GPS navigation crashes almost daily. No matter where I'm going, it crashes nearly every time and causes the phone to enter a soft reboot state (green Android logo on a black background).

I've already tried performing a factory reset on the phone and disabling battery optimization for Waze. I've also generated and reviewed Android bug reports multiple times, but I couldn't find any FATAL EXCEPTION or similar errors.

According to AI analysis, the problem might not be Waze itself, but rather some GPS-related service or process conflicting in the background.

Has anyone experienced something similar? What could be the solution? At the moment, I can't reliably use navigation at all, so I really need to find a way to fix this.

Thanks in advance for any hint!!
