Xiaomi 14T Pro no longer charges at 120w

I've tried everything including restarting the phone, updating, checking the cable and adapter but still now it's charging at "Quick Charge" and it's almost 80% slower. I might think it's the cable problem because sometimes it doesn't respond but I'm still not sure if it's actually the cable problem or just the phones charging port is broken. Need feedbacks.

How's HyperOS now?

I know how notorious Xiaomi is at managing their software department on phones, namely the bugs and inconsistencies that updates bring and also the unstable update rollouts, but is it still the case now?

I don't have experience with Xiaomi phones, in fact, I'm only just planning to. I want to buy the China ROM variant of POCO F8 Pro (Redmi K90) and I'm curious as to how it performs compared to its competitors like the iQOO Z11 Turbo/Neo 11 or, and especially, the OnePlus Ace 6, mainly on the software part. They have pretty much the same configurations, but Redmi K90 has an upperhand because it has a telephoto lens and speakers tuned by BOSE, whilst the OP Ace 6 lacks those things. but still, considering how amazing the ColorOS (or OxygenOS for global) is in terms of functionality and especially stability, I can't help but be conflicted on what to choose because of what HyperOS is as of now.

is HyperOS really as bad as people say? does it really hold its own if I put it face to face with other android skins? will it get better in time? is it worth getting the features that K90 offers but at the cost of peace of mind regarding the software?

Is this common of phones nowadays or it's just mine own?

Post processing taking a while. I don't even know if post processing is the right term here, sorry if I'm wrong. I received a Xiaomi 14 Ultra as a gift last week and I was thrilled because of what I had read and seen about the camera. When I started taking pictures with it, I was disappointed. The photos didn't look good as it did on videos I've watched, in terms of color and quality. Did I do something wrong? But later on the day I checked the gallery and the photos looked good, way better. So now I've realized that it takes a little while after I take the pictures for them to look really nice.

Is that common of Xiaomis? Just the Ultras? Or is it common for phones in general nowadays?

My redmi note pro 10 will be blocked

Hello i got an email from my ISP stating that my device ( Redmi note pro 10) is incompatible and must be changed by 9 June 2026 because it cannot access triple 000 in an emergency from the 3g shut down...

I'm in Australia and the network is optus, but I'm so confused because the shutdown was many years ago and the phone has been fine this whole time

Why the hell is it all of a sudden i have to buy a new phone? And like why can't they give me at least a few months notice?

The 14T Pro was perfect. The 15T Pro broke my trust. The 17T Pro leak feels like Xiaomi finally said sorry. Am I crazy or did charging speed actually change your psychology?

I’ve been modding this sub (r slash XiaomiGlobal) long enough to know when Xiaomi is cooking and when they’re coasting. But I need to know if I’m alone in this or if the T Series charging rollercoaster actually rewired your brain.

But here’s the real question did this actually mess with your head?

I’m not asking for spec sheet debates. I want to know if anyone else developed what I call "charge anxiety reversal."

  • 14T Pro owners: Did having 120W + 50W wireless feel like the perfect combo? Did you actually stop charging overnight?
  • 15T Pro owners: Be brutally honest. Did dropping from 120W to 90W bother you in daily life, or did the bigger battery make you forgive it?
  • Samsung / iPhone converts: Did anyone here switch to a T Series specifically because you were tired of 60W or 40W? What was that first 120W experience like?
  • The psychology part: Do you think fast charging genuinely eliminates "charge anxiety," or have we just become spoiled? I borrowed a family member’s iPhone 17 Pro for a weekend and at 20% I felt actual panic because I knew 40W wasn’t going to save me before I left the house. Is that a real thing or do I need therapy?

TL;DR: 14T Pro was peak T Series charging (120W + 50W wireless). 15T Pro sacrificed speed for 500mAh more. 17T Pro leaks suggest 100W + 50W wireless + 7000mAh a deliberate correction, not just an upgrade. I want your specific, weird, daily-habit stories. The more unhinged, the better.

Also, if you have your own charge-time benchmarks (GSMArena-style testing), drop them. I’m building a community-sourced data table from real users, not just review sites.

Do pure Xiaomi phones have adds when you open a system app like files or videos? Or is it just a Redmi thing?

Switching from xiaomi.eu to crDroid on Redmi K60 Pro (socrates) - Will I lose 120W charging and other features?

Hey everyone,

I'm currently running the xiaomi.eu ROM on my Redmi K60 Pro (socrates), i really want to try crDroid because hyperos starts to feel very laggy and i really like the looks of stock android.

  • What happens to the 120W fast charging? Do you still get the full 120W speeds?
  • how much of camera quality will i lose
  • Dolby Vision / Atmos: Is the display and audio optimization completely gone on AOSP?

Would love to hear from anyone who made this exact switch. Is the performance and debloated UI worth what you sacrifice from the MIUI/HyperOS ecosystem?

Thanks in advance!

I have a Xiaomi Civi 3 Disney Edition (yuechu), and I would like to relock it's bootloader. Is it safe to do so on Linux by flashing the latest official rom with flash_all_lock.sh file?

The lowest sound I've ever heard.

I have an Xiaomi 11t. The Bluetooth volume has always been low, I have tried absolutely everything that everyone in the world has suggested, nothing worked. I recently bought some Xiaomi earpods (Redmi buds 6 active I think) and even though they were very cheap they fill me with so very much hate. I know maybe my ears are not a standard shape, but it's like trying to fit a toaster in my ear. Even blinking breaks the "vacuum" that holds it in, and they just fall out. I tried lubing it up and punch it in in anger, didn't help. But even if it did, the volume is ridiculously low. It's like 10 percent of the volume I've had on other phones and headphones. I've googled it and changed all the settings everyone said I should, but no. It makes me so extremely fu**ing angry that I don't know what to do! Please help me. 🫶

Xiaomi 17 vs Poco f8 ultra

As the title states I am contemplating between these devices I am upgrading from my cn rom Nubia z50s pro.(Too many limitations on CN roms and my camera sucks 😞)

In my country both of these are similar price just that Poco f8 comes with 16gb 512 vs Xiaomi 12gb 512.

From my perspective Poco has better speaker while Xiaomi have better camera ?

Xiaomi 12s ultra

Getting my 12s ultra soon as a filipino teenager thats into video making and photography with a bit of gaming. As a main phone, what cons should i be aware of with this phone? I really love the cameras of this phone and i dont see any other xiaomis in the same second hand budget (17k pesos = 275 dollars) and better performance with the camera. I am really happy knowing the fact that it has hyperOS 3 which is the last OS update it gets but i am content with it. What are the main cons i should know of with this phone?

Xiaomi 17 ultra - how camera uses AI?

Hello everyone.

I was a happy owner of the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra.

I then upgraded to the Huawei Pura 70 Ultra, convinced by the camera. However, I noticed that in many cases, when there's texts in the photos, from a distance, the camera forcefully tries to reconstruct them, giving a very ugly, artificial impression.

Even turning off all the modes still causes this problem.

In RAW, the photos are even worse than the Mi 11 Ultra.

So now I'm thinking of upgrading to the Xiaomi 17 Ultra.

How does the 17 Ultra use AI? Is it possible to disable it completely from the camera?

Phone charging: How hot is too hot?

I recently got a Xiaomi phone with 120w charging. When I charge it, it always gets hot - super hot! Sometimes it's the phone itself, sometimes (depending on the charger) it's the charger that get really hot, and this also goes for wireless charging.

I realize some will say "don't use the turbo or fast charge," but that isn't my question here!

What I'm asking is:

What is the difference between the charger vs the phone getting hot - why does that happen and what does it mean?

And how hot is still considered "reasonable" and when should I genuinely worry?

-- EDIT: Please, my question isn't whether or not to use fast charge...! I know! I'm asking something else regarding the thermodynamics - heat!

How to charge my phone at full speed using powerbank?

Hi,

I have the Redmi Note 13 Pro which support charging at up to 67 W. I also have the Anker Laptop Powerbank (165W, 25000 mAh). However, when using the retractable cable of the powerbank, charging only reaches up to 15-20 W. I understand that this is because of the charging protocol of the phone. Is there any way to make it faster? Would it be possible to use a Xiaomi USB-C to USB-C cable to charge at full (or at least a noticeably higher) speed? I cannot test this by using the original USB-A to USB-C cable, as the powerbank does not support the same wattage on the USB-A port so I would have to buy a new one. Or is there any way to increase charging speed? A friend of mine also has a Xiaomi phone (Xiaomi + Number, not sure which one) and it charges at 67 W using the retractable cable, which I find quite weird as I thought the protocol would apply to all Xiaomi phones.

Thanks for any help!
