Last year we had damage from a neighboring unit. Should I file a third party claim? Is it too late?

Our neighbor’s unit damaged ours. They admitted fault and fixed the problem. But it ended up costing us our $1,000 deductible.

When our insurance tried subrogation, they were quick to pull up by-laws forbidding subrogation. There was no apology or offer to pay for damages, and it’s been since October or so. I’m kinda thinking I should’ve filed a third party claim since there’s nothing in the by-laws about that.

Is this possible? Is there a deadline? Is it a good idea?

Anybody else in DC and hate how often Waze sends you to the NY/NJ Ave area?

I can’t even count the number of times I’ve been sent that way only for it to add 30+ minutes to my trip as I go. It’s kind of crazy that this doesn’t get the attention of any of the developers.
