During the Final War, your OC has the chance to save Bakugou (of course, that means he won't awaken his quirk, meaning someone else has to fight AFO). Does your OC take this chance?

My answer: Yes, Ryuji 100% takes the chance (partially out of spite). Ryuji would probably have to fight AFO himself (since Bakugou otherwise wouldn't become stronger than ever). Maybe Ryuji would start to rapidly age as he uses Pagkawasak more and more (especially since he'll start to reach Mach 10), but still, I could see Ryuji at this point win against AFO.

The HPSC invites your OC (among thousands of other students across Japan) to volunteer in a scientific experiment involving an interdimensional portal device at Black Mesa JP.

Does your OC step up to volunteer?

If not, then your OC may hear stories about what actually happened in Black Mesa JP, which is the latest branch of the New Mexico-based research corporation Black Mesa (they actually have a second branch over somewhere in Siberia, dubbed "Black Mesa East"), such as what the employees actually are in Black Mesa, though the actual results of the experiment are obviously going to be classified.

~~~~
But if your OC chooses to go, they may find a few things that they might not expect:
  • Black Mesa's personnel are not very professional.
  • First of all, the first candidate for the test, Dr. Mossman, was caught trying to make unwanted advances upon Dr. Vance, who is married with a daughter.
  • Second, Dr. Magnusson had caught the newest hire on the science team, as well as the second candidate, Dr. Freeman (who, despite his accolades as an MIT graduate with a Ph.D. in theoretical physics, as well as having earned his Heisman Memorial Award as MIT's star Running Back (bringing the MIT Engineers to the NCAA's Division I), was incredibly juvenile) quote-unquote, "fucking with the microwave", which completely ruined Dr. Magnusson's casserole.
  • Thirdly, there were talks of taking the test in the United States, with rumors that the third candidate would be one Cpl. Shephard from the USMC, though this would obviously require tons of funding that the US can't afford considering they're working on their top secret project (that being their Number 1 Hero, who has yet to be identified).
  • Fourthly, another candidate that was considered was actually going to be one of Aperture Science's own test subjects. However, they were incredibly difficult to locate after Aperture Science had ceased operations.
  • Fifthly, Security Officer Calhoun was considered, but Administrator Breen had that option vetoed.
  • So, in the end, your OC (or some other hero student) was the last option, meaning they only got here primarily due to workplace drama.
  • The device has been expected to transport your OC to an alternate dimension, where they are expected to meet with an alternate version of Black Mesa, where they will meet with Dr. Levy. Now, due to the complexities of the device's calculations, your OC could theoretically instead end up in a place called "Xen", or a place called "Philtrum", among other possible locations. But your OC doesn't need to hear all that, they're a, uhm... highly, er, trained... "professional"? Yeah, Administrator Breen will be going with that.
  • The purpose of your OC is to take photographs and video recordings of wherever the portal will send them through. If your OC manages to make it to the alternate Black Mesa, they will have to perform some interviews with Dr. Levy, as well as the other alternate Black Mesa employees. However, if your OC finds themself in a highly dangerous situation, it is best to immediately take cover and wait for the portal device to transport them back to this universe. Regardless, whatever footage your OC has gathered will be analyzed once they return. They are to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement after the test is over, though Black Mesa seems to have forgotten to include the workplace drama and the previous candidates that were supposed to be test subjects.
So, with all that in mind, will your OC leak information or will they keep quiet about it?
"You are my sunshine, my only sunshine" / You (the GM) are tasked with creating a basketball team. Which OC's (or Canonical Characters) are you picking for the starting lineup, who's gonna be the coach, and who's gonna be on the bench?
Right now, this is my current captain:
Ryuji Paranga (Captain and Swingman, but if we're talking canon characters he's probably gonna be on Center if it's all students, but if we can include pro heroes and other OC's who can fill in the role of Center then he'd be a Small Forward)
Now I know that we don't have basketball stats but going forward I can make a prediction that Ryuji would average 35 points, 21 rebounds, 12 assists, 4 blocks, and 3 steals per game.
Not to mention as the GM I'll have Ryuji start every game, and due to Ryuji's stubborn personality (especially when it comes to basketball, fun fact his only social media account is called "@LeBronVIGlazer" and he pretty much KNOWS ball), he'll never sit on a bench and his spot will be freezing cold and gathering dust, meaning he'd probably be playing all 48 minutes of the game.
I can also predict that Ryuji would make a .395 for his 3-point Field Goal Percentage, a .495 for his Free Throw Percentage, and would play every game. Let's assume this is gonna be a 41-game season, but if you want we can stretch it to the normal 82-game season (I think Ryuji would dominate on the floor either way).
~~~~

For canon characters:

Inasa Yoarashi from Shiketsu on Power Forward

Kojiro Bondo from 1-B on Small Forward

Togaru Kamakiri from 1-B on Shooting Guard

Mezo Shoji on Point Guard

Nezu as Coach

Rn I ain't got no benchwarmers but I'll figure it out eventually

Anyways the team name is gonna be the Shizuoka Titans (because all of them are huge asf, yet are led by 2'9.5 Nezu)

For OC's:

Hmmm, idk.

Benchwarmers lowkey might be u/TheSnazzyMaster's Hakari Iroyama (if Hakari, for some godforsaken reason, decides to be on the same team, I lowkey don't see that happening), but other than that, we good. Shizuoka Titans in four.

~~~~
Anyways, the two drawings are inspired by (of course) LeBron James, the glorious king.
Where do you see your OC after the Final War Arc? (From the time that the war is over up until probably their death if they don't get to live for long)
Ryuji Paranga would spend the summer break in his second year going to the Philippines and helping out the Philippine Government here and there. He'd be a massive enough impact in the Philippines where he'd become the "Better Paranga", compared to the absolute demon and menace that was his grandma Rizalina (before she got killed by All Might in Japan). He'd also have another Philippine president elected, this time someone who can actually run the country in a direction that isn't the ground (meaning there'd be few screw ups at most).
During his second year in UA, Japan, he'd be around Japan after noticing a string of mysterious deaths involving criminals and such (they die after a tracking device that gets implanted onto them by the Japanese police suddenly explodes), but the moment he meets an ordinary college student by the name of Akira, it's as if Ryuji and Akira suddenly were on the same wavelength and could practically hear each others' thoughts (it's not a quirk, it's just some of the most insane coincidences that they somehow predict each others' every action, every word, and every thought).
Eventually, Ryuji finds the alias of the killer, Kira, and even manages to connect the dots of how Kira is just Akira without the A at the start, though he initially thinks that's got to be the stupidest naming scheme he's ever heard (Ryuji soon finds out that it really is Akira without the A). Ryuji finds out who Kira is (Akira), and has the guy cornered. As it turns out, Akira had been using the new technology where a recently-captured criminal is given a tracking device, and Akira had been able to remotely hack the tracking devices in order to explode them, usually killing them as a result.
Akira, in an act of terrorism, proceeds to attach multiple tracking devices onto himself before lunging at Ryuji while simultaneously hacking the devices to cause an explosion great enough to take out both of them. Ryuji manages to dodge the attack in time before Akira explodes (he even saves a marine biologist who would've otherwise gotten hit with the shrapnel from Akira's exploding body).
During Ryuji's third year in UA, he'd still be around in Japan. He'd spar with a younger class, maybe get his ass beat, but he'd surprisingly have a lot of restraint when dealing with them, only adjusting his fighting skill proportionally to the student he's fighting. Otherwise, generally not as impressive.
Ryuji would spend his third year Summer break at sea, and he'd eventually come across an island where an annual Korean death game is being held. He'd basically launch a solo operation where he singlehandedly takes the entire island down and manages to rescue over a hundred people (there were around three hundred casualties, so out of the 456 contestants total Ryuji would've saved around a hundred and twenty-something people).
After graduating, Ryuji would carve his name out as basically THE successor to All Might in terms of actual hero work. Izuku would still receive his props as the guy who defeated Shigaraki/AFO (Bakugou wouldn't have died, Ryuji would've taken the blow for Bakugou instead, though Ryuji wouldn't die either and instead go on to face AFO in Bakugou's place), but everyone would know Ryuji as another All Might. Except for the fact that he is absolutely atrocious when it comes to his personality. He'd spend practically all his time as the lowest-ranked hero in Japan (even lower than underground heroes!).
Ryuji would probably tour the world in his early twenty's. From dismantling an Italian mafia (with its boss being responsible for a series of global memory wipes, as if the world "skipped time"), to chasing down the French villain Hawkmoth, to stopping an old Russian colonel suddenly reanimated as a perpetually-burning Nomu after two centuries since his supposed "death". He might even go to America to solve some issues there (like chasing down two cults, one in New York where vigilantes dress up in red and blue and fight crime in the name of "The Spider", a 20th Century Folk Vigilante, and another in Florida where a mad priest tries to accomplish "The Heaven Plan", which was started by an ancient vampire from the 1800s who died later on in the 1980's).
At the 8-year timeskip, Ryuji would come back to a chorus of national boo's. Despite all that he's done, he's still the tyrannical enforcer all of Japan knew and hated. Only fellow pro heroes and hero students actually praise him for his accolades worldwide, the civilians just find him more odious than Mineta and Bakugou combined.
And of course, Ryuji Paranga dies at 27. His wake involved Bakugou kicking off the festivities (this was actually planned, btw. It was even in his plans for the funeral and the memorial to have the place trashed and his memory disrespected.), and his three cloned children Ryumi, Ryusuke, and Regina went their separate ways.
Ryumi became the next Rageman (dubbed "Wrathwoman") and stayed in Japan, working as a professional hero.
Ryusuke went to the UK and became a famous entrepreneur there, setting up a restaurant franchise dubbed "Paranga's Fast Food: Burgers, Chicken, and more!" (it was surprisingly successful), as well as working as a professional hero in the UK (he's probably not beating most of the UK's top heroes, but hey, he's still a very reliable hero who works with the MI5).
And Regina? She went to the United States, grew up as a professional hero, changed her surname to "Burns" (after her paternal grandfather Andrés Burns), and eventually ran for president as a democrat once she turned 35. She actually won, by the way, and even implemented a few of her promises (she basically supported mutant rights, treating them as average citizens, as well as made sure the richest people in the US had a "money cap", where they were forced to forfeit all their money until they had exactly $999,999,999 as their net worth, though this one wasn't as popular, etc.).
~~~~

So, what would your OC's timelines look like after the Final War?

Kenkashi Sendo - The Tiger of Esuha

Kenkashi Sendo is an aspiring student (maybe hero) who was born-and-raised in Esuha, Hyogo.

Now, I know that Esuha City itself is a direct parallel to Dotonbori, Osaka, but these two are separate. Not to mention, I wanted Sendo to be from the same place where Shiketsu was in, yet chose to go all the way to Musutafu, Shizuoka instead.

~~~~
Physical appearance: Kenkashi Sendo is a rather average-sized, perhaps even short, individual. He only stands at around 5-foot-6, and weighs around 175 pounds, though he has a short, stocky frame to go with it. He also has puffed-out cauliflower ears, a permanent bruise near his right eye, a scarred pug nose, and a missing tooth from the lower half.
He also likes to comb his hair and part it off to the side, making a sort of Elvis Presley-esque pompadour. However, this hair easily busts open because Sendo doesn't actually use much hair product beyond maybe vaseline (that melts and gets punched off during a fight).
~~~

Personality: Kenkashi Sendo is a fight-hungry thug who utterly thrives off his own bloodlust. Despite his arrogant, smug facial expressions, Sendo is an absolutely bloodthirsty brawler, and isn't exactly one to be a pillow-puncher.

Sendo also barely talks much, but that's because he generally doesn't have an opinion on whatever's going on... unless it's a discussion on sports.

See, Sendo is INCREDIBLY passionate about sports. He knows all about the sports people, from the 2017 Golden State Warriors in the NBA, to the greatest ice hockey player of all time Wayne Gretzky, to even some heavyweight boxer in the 1990's named Donovan Ruddock, who had a similar signature technique as Sendo's.

~~~~
Quirk: Slugfest - See here for more info.
~~~~

Ultimate Move: The closest thing Kenkashi Sendo has to an Ultimate Move doesn't even involve his quirk, but rather is a punch that has mysteriously been passed down the Sendo Bloodline ever since his distant ancestor had used it in a boxing match.

It's a combination between a hook and an uppercut called the "Smash", where Sendo initially opens himself up by dropping one of his hands before springing up to throw his lead hand (depending on which stance he's in, but typically it's his left hand). It's arguably more of a complicated feint if anything.

~~~~
Abilities: Kenkashi Sendo is, besides Slugfest, functionally quirkless. He makes up for this through being perhaps one of the most physically resilient and powerful characters in his school, to the point where he could genuinely pose a threat to even a few big villains like Himiko Toga or Dabi or whatever.
With the exception of, like, All Might, Kendo Rappa, Muscular, Izuku Midoriya with anything above 30% of OFA's power, Ryuji Paranga, or any character that's over seventy pounds bigger than him or can actually box, anyone who gets affected by the pheromones Slugfest releases would basically get clobbered into next week because Sendo is incredibly strong and durable for his size.
Even if the target refuses to engage, Sendo is still an incredibly formidable threat. His explosive speed allows him to cross distances of around five meters surprisingly quickly, though he can't chain these together all at once.
Kenkashi Sendo's fighting style is basically all about boxing. Not only does he bob, weave, and parry attacks, he's also adept at using footwork to evade attacks to his legs.
Kenkashi Sendo is right-handed, and as such, he fights in an orthodox stance. However, if he needs to deliver the Smash with his right hand, he will switch to a southpaw stance to do so.
~~~~

Backstory: Kenkashi Sendo was born in May 5th. He grew up getting himself into brawls in Esuha City, but he was eventually suggested to join a boxing gym at the behest of his parents. He trained there since he was eight, where his quirk Slugfest manifested (it actually won his first spar against a twelve-year-old prodigy).

Despite the expectations that Sendo would go to Shiketsu, he actually did multiple written tests for various schools. The first one that he passed was actually UA, so he went there first.

God knows what the hell Sendo did to those robots, because for some horrendous reason, Sendo actually got 54 points destroying some robots. He got 17 rescue points during the entrance exam.

Sendo was placed in 1-B, where he replaced Nirengeki Shoda.

~~~~
Some more fun facts:
Kenkashi Sendo's actual ancestor is Takeshi Sendo, the Tiger of Naniwa, from Hajime no Ippo.
Yes, if you notice very closely, I copied Naoya Zen'in's expression when he asked Maki if she had no heart. Don't worry, Sendo isn't a bum or whatever.
I actually made this guy after being asked by u/fumugake if I would make any non-Paranga related OC's. Hey, I had to oblige.
~~~~

Let me know what you think of this dude. Might make an interaction post soon.

Quirk - Slugfest

Slugfest is an emitter quirk that works similarly to Hitoshi Shinso's Brainwash, except the affected person is fully conscious and aware of what they're doing.

To start, the user has to make a gesture of invitation to close-quarters combat. The target can either accept or decline the invitation. If the target decides to accept, then the user emits pheromones that trigger heightened aggression and a complete disregard for anything other than punching within both the user and the target's brains.

In this state, both the user and the target stand at most a meter and a half away from each other, and they throw punches of any kind (either big power shots or light jabs). They can parry and/or weave while in this state. While the target may not use their quirk for anything else, they may use it to boost the effectiveness of their punches, or to either sway or parry incoming attacks.

Slugfest is otherwise functionally useless anywhere else, and aside from not having an extra toe bone, the user is basically quirkless.

Slugfest is also completely random when it comes to manifestations. Even if two Slugfest users came together and had a baby, that baby would be either quirkless or take a similar quirk from either of the two parents' other relatives, rather than Slugfest itself. Likewise, Slugfest can randomly manifest in a baby even if the family tree had absolutely no members that had Slugfest as a quirk.

"IT WAS ALWAYS ME VS. THE WORLD" (TW: Child abuse)

TW: Child abuse.

Context: This is an image of a child curled up in the corner of a dimly-lit room that was recently seized by the police after appearing in one of the basements of some Dotonbori criminal den. It appears that this image dates back to about nine years ago.

Your OC stumbles upon it while rummaging through the evidence locker for an unrelated case. They realize that the child bears a striking resemblance to a rather controversial provisional hero (your OC may or may not personally know him at UA) by the name of Ryuji Paranga, and considering that this image was taken nine years ago, he was only five years old.

Your OC also realizes that there may have been seriously unspeakable, unimaginable things done to this young boy, to reduce him to the state he was in that image. Not just the most extreme physical abuse, but the kind of abuse that should never happen to a child at all.

To see Ryuji Paranga as this cowering, terrified, mind-broken child...

...makes his anger at the world, and at any kind of criminal in particular, just a little more understandable.

The Ryuji Paranga who was outrageously blown away

Believe it or not, this is actually a reference to Ancient Roman: Power of Dark Side. I got it from this r/coaxedintoasnafu post HERE.

Quick question for your OC's: In other mediums that ISN'T MHA, which characters would they find interest in?

By mediums, I mean like including comics, movies, video games, anime, manga, western animation, what-have-you. If a character can show up on TV Tropes (and sometimes it doesn't even have to be TV Tropes), they're allowed.

Now, lemme answer my own question:

Ryuji Paranga would fucking IDOLIZE Judge Dredd. Seriously, the guy's catchphrase is "I AM THE LAW.", no fucking way Ryuji wouldn't adore this guy.

But he'd also find a lot of himself within Joe Yabuki from Ashita no Joe, and he'd find himself agreeing a lot with Mamoru Takamura's whole "monster" quote from Hajime no Ippo.

Granted, while Joe is a street rat and a boxer and Ryuji's a complete and utter lawman working as a hero (who'd hate street crooks), Ryuji would genuinely find Joe's own determination to be admirable itself. Ryuji even finds himself heading down the same path Joe did during the manga: Burning so brightly that all that's left are pure, white, unignitable ash.

And yes, while Ryuji would definitely see himself butting heads with Mamoru Takamura WAYYY too much (Ryuji finds Takamura unbearable as fuck), Ryuji would at least agree with Takamura's idea of a monster: To be completely and utterly devoted to your passion or your profession, a darker form of "Plus Ultra" that necessitates the sacrifice of your humanity. And it's also what happened to Joe Yabuki, coincidentally enough.

----

So, if your OC is interested in any character at all (that isn't from MHA), who would it be?

In order of appearance:

Hakari Iroyama by u/TheSnazzyMaster

Jobii Iguchi by u/Dry_Distribution_992

Abigail Koopa by u/Kerbalmaster911

Ezura Aizawa by u/Existing-Ad-2856

Senzan Kyo by u/Fatalishurts

Tamaki Kageyama by u/TheSpitefulCr0w

CONTEXT:

This is an AU, and thus wouldn't happen in the main verse.

Ryuji's first year after graduation and as a pro hero (so like around 2 years after the Final War arc) was marked with trouble and turmoil. Despite his insane arrest rates, he was actually one of the least popular heroes in Japan, primarily due to his "tyrannical" attitude. Needless to say, this actually came to a boiling point when Ryuji had made headlines for the most disastrous villain capture yet: The villain was actually a ten-year-old boy going on a rampage, and while other heroes tried to reason with the juvenile offender, Ryuji had none of it, and instead tagged the other heroes (not the OC's, just some other heroes who are like top 50 or whatever) as villains themselves before engaging in combat. He actually won the encounter and had the other heroes arrested (and of course the juvenile villain), but his PR couldn't be lower than the metaphorical barrel.

As a result, everyone deemed Ryuji to be an absolute tyrant, and most of them resigned in disgust, turning to vigilantism to stop Ryuji once and for all. Ironically enough, for an incredibly efficient hero, Ryuji was painted as the villain in this scenario.

So basically, his selfish deed was not freedom, even if it's so sad. But everyone's walking ahead, with pride, to the next stage.

FUN FACT: I actually had the initial project be Ryuji as Masayoshi Tanimura from Yakuza 4 fighting against a bunch of OC's as the annoying fuckass bodyguards in Yakuza 4's final fight. But I scrapped it after realizing it'd be a pain in the ass, not to mention quite boring, to actually draw. Which is why I made a Yakuza 4 "For Faith" reference.

Now, please enjoy this artwork, and while you're at it, let me know how YOUR OC would deal with Ryuji during these troubled times.

u/GRSalt123 — 16 days ago

In the images: Various pictures of Ryuji Paranga taken at some modeling studio. Probably for some hair product, like some Japanese hair clay or sea salt spray or whatever.

Ryuji Paranga, if he was born in a quirkless world, would still have his parents be alive, and here, he'd ironically enough be more of a delinquent if anything. His father Andrés Burns and his mother Emilia Paranga would've been fierce delinquents from back in the day, though they appeared to have mellowed out. Dotonbori, Osaka, wouldn't have been such a disastrous warzone, though it would still be the seedy underbelly of Japan. He'd still get the scar, though it would be at a little older age than five and he'd instead get it from one of Osaka's big inter-district rumbles.

Coming into UA, Ryuji would've basically cemented himself as a prominent figure not to be fucked with, and most of the students would give him a wide berth. Of course, there are the cocky few OC's who think they can hang with Ryuji in a fight, though as always, Ryuji's still a brick shithouse due to often eating some of the most caloric meals his parents could possibly think to cook, though instead of western meals, Ryuji would often gorge on adobong manok (chicken adobo), nilagang baboy (pork nilaga), kalderetang baka (beef caldareta), as well as basically any Japanese meal his parents could google.

Surprisingly, Ryuji would probably go for a few modeling and acting gigs. Due to being in a loving family, his self-esteem wouldn't be completely in the dumps. In fact, he'd recognize his own natural beauty and use it to his advantage, though he probably won't stick around in the modeling business (let alone showbiz) after seeing how ruthlessly it reps its cash cows. He'd definitely be more open to relationships between either gender, that's for sure.

So, what would your OC be like in a quirkless world?

u/GRSalt123 — 20 days ago

Arguments for Ryuji/against Rikido:

  • Would have more relevance and a more interesting story as an antagonistic character
  • A quirk that initially makes him stronger than Deku's OFA (that being Dragon's Heat) which also doesn't put Ryuji at a severe handicap
  • Has a stronger personality, isn't a gentle giant (which is surprisingly not being called out as clichéd or whatever) but rather a stern authority figure
  • Would also have his own fair share of hype moments and aura (hey it has to be a balance between good writing, and hype moments and aura)
  • Holds people like Bakugou, Iida, Mineta and Kaminari (don't think you're off the hook because you're just as pervy as Mineta) accountable
  • Has a more interesting design (Filipino scarred giant with a pompadour, maybe a middle part bro flow on bad hair days, and combat fatigues as his hero uniform) than a Kinnikuman wannabe
  • Bigger than everyone else in Class 1-A (even Shoji), fits the "strong guy" role better

Arguments for Rikido/against Ryuji:

  • Bakes better than Ryuji (Ryuji isn't actually that good at cooking)
  • Won a dorm competition once
  • Ryuji would probably end up being too polarizing for anyone's liking, whereas Rikido fits nicely as a side character
  • Nice guy, gentle giant (look even if it is clichéd people still like it)
  • Provided red food coloring for Eri's candy apples
  • Has a friendship with Ojiro, who acknowledges his own irrelevance and how generic he is
  • Is a pretty alright character in general, would be an incredible roommate

Btw, yes, Richie's hairline is as straight as a line with 90 degree corners and is actually proceeding, not receding (unlike Ryuji Paranga over there with his balding hairline).

Also, yes, Richie is proud of having a taper fade. One of his icks are sideburns of any kind. Another ick is slicked-back hair.

So, here's the list (since I can't add captions on mobile):

  1. Buzzcut

  2. Broccoli perm

  3. Edgar

  4. Two-block

  5. Modern mullet
