Bit of an exaggeration but heres the problem. Bought a portable Arctic King 8500 BTU for bedroom. Cooling is fine but it just makes so many random noises I haven’t had a full nights sleep since i got it. I’m a light sleeper.
Previously had a 5000 BTU window unit which worked okay enough for cooling, but never woke me up.
Do I buy an undersized unit on purpose so it runs through the night? Or is it being a window unit enough to isolate the sound? Would an inverter AC be worth it?
