Latest Etsy Scam
Customer buys an expensive item, the next day after it is delivered request a return and refund. The seller sends a Return Label to the customer. The Customer places the Return Label next to the Original Shipping Label with both Tracking Bar Codes visible. Package gets delayed as the U.S.P.S. can't tell the difference between a Delivered Shipping and Undelivered Return Label. Wait about 4 days and complain that the Seller hasn't refunded the sale yet. Point out that the Tracking Number indicates it is in route. Etsy forces the Seller to pay the Refund. Customer is reimbursed. The Package bounces between Distribution Hubs for weeks. Finally, the Post Office agrees there is a problem and by default marks "Return To Sender" on the Return Label. Customer gets FREE MERCH! Seller is out the Sale and The Product. Etsy Closes the Case so there is no recourse.
