I bought an 03 GL1800 as a project bike a few months ago for $500. It had been pretty severely neglected and needed a lot of work to make it road worthy again.

After getting through the majority of the work I decided to start filming some of the tasks for the benefit of others. They’re condensed down to just exactly what you need to know to get the work done, and every video is a start to finish guide.

So far I’ve covered the Air Filter, ECM, and Cruise/Reverse Computer. I’m just finishing the Fuel tank removal soon. After that is gonna be more for the components under the tank, like the Alternator/Starter/water pump and the rear suspension.

Please check them out and let me know if you like the format and how I might improve the videos to be more appealing or useful.

I don’t make any money doing this, I just want other people to know what I didn’t before I bought this thing. Anyone who’s worked on them knows why.

Hey Everybody,

I bought a fixer upper of a GL1800 a few months ago and decided to take the opportunity to make some how to guides on the maintenance of these things since fewer and fewer dealerships are offering service for the now aging GL1800 01-17 models.

All of my videos are complete, with parts sped up to save you time. All the details are there, if you need to slow things down to see them, the sped up parts are at 5x speed.

Feel free to save the playlist as I’ll be adding videos to it when I’m able.

Also, if you know anyone who may need this information who isn’t in this subreddit, please share. I don’t make any money doing this so if you get anything at all out of my videos please like, share, and leave a comment.
