23 Cayenne GTS “Dream Spec” Purchase — Did I Accidentally Find a Unicorn?

Huge car enthusiast here. Family has ties to a GM dealership, so I’ve spent most of my life in Denali trucks, plus a few CTS/STS Cadillacs back in the day.

A few years ago I dipped into European SUVs:
- 2016 Macan Turbo (absolutely loved it)
- 2018 Range Rover Sport Supercharged (awesome when it worked… but constant maintenance headaches)

Fast forward to now — my 2024 Denali Ultimate has been an absolute disaster. It’s currently spent 8 weeks in the shop for software/lumbar issues and GM is moving toward a buyback.

Normally I’d just order another truck, but with the full refresh coming for the 2027s, there’s no way I’m ordering a 2026.

At the same time, I’ve wanted something FUN again for a long time.

My wife and I have two 110 lb American Bully XLs, so practicality still matters, which is why I kept circling back to the Cayenne. My mom has a 2026 Cayenne and every time I drive it I’m reminded how ridiculously good these things are.

Last weekend I was in Palm Springs for work and started test driving.

First stop:
2021 G550.

Fun as hell… but I’m 6’4” and there is NO way those things were built for tall people. I wanted to love it but I was unbelievably uncomfortable.

Then I drove a GLE53 AMG.
Super comfortable, luxurious, fast — honestly impressive.

The Porsche dealer was next door, so naturally I wandered over.

Met a guy named Tony at Indigo Porsche and immediately knew he was a true enthusiast/dealer relationship type of guy.

I asked if they had any GTS models.

He says:
“Only one… but it’s probably too expensive.”

Then we drive around back and I see a Ghost White Cayenne GTS getting detailed.

Instant obsession.

Turns out this thing was custom ordered by a close friend of the GM and the spec is INSANE.

Specs:
- Premium Plus Package
- Assistance Package
- 18-Way Seats
- Sport Design Package in Carbon Fiber
- Exterior Carbon Fiber Package
- GTS Logo Deletion
- Satin Black Porsche Logos
- Custom 22” Forged Wheels
- PDCC
- Rear Axle Steering
- Sport Chrono
- Heated/Ventilated Seats
- Heated Steering Wheel
- Carbon Fiber Interior Trim
- Thermally + Noise Insulated Glass
- Crest Headrests
- Center Console Logo
- Gloss Black Calipers
- Trailer Hitch
- OEM 21” Wheels/Tires Included
- Eventuri Carbon Fiber Intake
- Full Front PPF

Original MSRP:
$171k

The thing has 18k miles, 6 months factory warranty left, plus Porsche CPO coverage.

Price:
$106k.

After driving it… I honestly felt like it was meant to happen.

The combination of:
- PDCC
- Rear axle steering
- Sport Plus mode
- the Eventuri intake sound
- comfort
- steering feel

…completely ruined me.

I genuinely think this might be one of the coolest Cayenne GTS specs I’ve personally seen.

Now I’m sitting here wondering:
Did I accidentally buy the perfect daily?

Also curious:
- How do these hold value over a couple years?
- Is a spec like this relatively easy to move later?
- Anything I should know as a newer Porsche/Cayenne owner?

Because honestly…
I have a feeling it’s going to be VERY hard to drive anything else after this thing.

Absolutely obsessed with it already.
