Calling Out Topstep - Negative Experience (Scammed)

Hello everyone,

I am completely upset with how Topstep have handled my situation, I will explain here, I will keep it short and sweet:

A week ago, last Friday I needed to complete 1 more winning day of $150 or more to be eligible for my 2nd payout on my 5 150K XFA's. In the early hours of NY time zone, I manage to close a trade so I hit the payout requirements, I immediately apply the personal lockout to my accounts so I guarantee the payout.

I am obviously intending to request this as soon as the market closes that evening.

30 Minutes prior to market close, I receive an email from Topstep telling me I am moving to a live account. Obviously this comes as a shock as it's only my 2nd payout on these accounts however that is not my biggest concern here.

I had ALREADY met the payouts requirements (5 or more days of $150 profit or more), on this final day, I had applied the personal lockout so there is no way of it not counting.

The major issue is that Topstep then decide to move me live 30 minutes prior to market close and me being able to request the payout.

Im more than happy to trade a live account however I feel I have been completely scammed here for my 2nd payout and believe this should be issued prior to being moved live.

I've tried contacting topstep but just get terrible responses with nobody seems to actually understand what I am concerned about here, hopefully this post can bring it to their attention and somebody could help.

TIA

A simple rule fix to this is that firms should not be able to move you live mid cycle, and only post payout
