Isuzu D-Max vs Mitsubishi Triton

Hi all,

Looking into the used car market for either the D-max or the Triton for use as a touring/camping setup. Is the reliability of the D-max engine worth buying a older, higher km vehicle, or is a newer, lower km Triton a smarter purchase?

Example would be a 2017/2018 D-max LSM or LSU with 150k-180k km vs a 2021/2022 Triton GLX+ or GLS (Assuming both a similar price with the extras I'm after - bullbar, canopy, roof racks, towball, etc)

Would love to hear from anyone with experience with either vehicle, cheers.

Looking for advice/opinions on this dmax LSM tour-mate for a camping/touring vehicle. Private company sale, has been used as a personal vehicle for one of the staff. From my in-person viewing has a few minor cosmetic issues (scratches, small dents, faded headlights/tail lights) but presents and drives pretty well. Strangely has a different front left tyre (must've been the spare since the spare is the same as the other 3). Anything I should be on the look out for (DPF and turbo I know), planning on getting a pre-purchase inspection.

Year: 2019

Make: Isuzu

Model: Dmax LSM tour mate

KMs: 180,000

Price: $25,500

Location: Perth, WA

Intended use: planning to do the lap next year
