51 yr old male 5’10” 200 lbs. I’ve had chronic migraines from neck and shoulder muscle tension for 30 years. The only think that keeps me going, and quite frankly able to live has been Imatrex. Yes I know too much can cause rebounds. Have tried everything imaginable from medications, physical therapy, chiropractics, massages, acupuncture, strength training, Botox, medical procedures up to and including a spinal fusion with 18 inches of titanium holding my spine together from an upper back kyphosis of an 83 degree forward arch, down to 34 degree after surgery that hasn’t not helped the pain after almost four years. If anything the surgery has made things in my neck and back worse. Areas that don’t hurt before now do causing more pain and headaches. If you can name it I’ve tried it. A pain specialist has recently approved me for medical cannabis. Low doses have not helped. My question is what is the best kind of cannabis for chronic tension headaches.

I’ve been getting migraines most my life, into my 30’s they got worse from my spine being curved forward. I got my spine straightened three years ago in hopes it would relief a lot of pain. The arch caused my neck and trap muscles to go bad and ache all the time causing tension and daily headaches. The surgery has not relived the tension. I’ve tried everything you can image in over the years. Name it I’ve tried it, even for an occipital stimulator implanted, helps sometimes. Imatrex usually kills the headaches but dr is taking me off them completely. I have no idea what to do, how to do I go to work, how do I live my life with daily headaches?
