I got a McDonald cerclage placed at 16 weeks. I’m pregnant with Mo-Di twins, and my doctor mentioned that the success rate of cerclage with twins is around 70%. I’m trying to do everything possible to help make it successful.
I recently had my cervix checked at 18+ weeks, and it measured 4.3 cm. My doctor said that’s an excellent length and about as good as it can be right now, but that it may shorten over time as the babies grow.
Have any moms been through something similar with twins and a cerclage? I’d love to hear your experiences. How did your cervical length change over time(at what rate), and were there any precautions or steps that helped you through the pregnancy?
