Half & half?

Hello all! Latte art tutorials seem to only show whole milk. I really prefer a breve to a true latte (even though the name isn’t as classic lol). Even if it’s only 25% cream in my 3oz total of diary in the final drink. The taste is better to me. My pitcher is 12oz total and the ~3oz is nearly to the start of the protruding spout like most tutorials recommend. I also brew my espresso over about a Tbsp of honey, though I don’t think that makes much of a texture difference.

I have a Casabrews machine and the steam wand has one hole. I know people have gotten great latte art with the same machine so I’m thinking it’s a skill issue. I have a long thread with Chat GPT about art with half & half but still am barely seeing improvement after months 😭

The first photo is my closest and most recent attempt at a heart. The second was a few weeks ago. The others in between were not even close so I didn’t take photos 😂😭 it’s also difficult when you can only practice once a day.

My question is, does anyone here achieve latte art using half & half? What tips do you have? Let me know if providing more info about my setup would help! I appreciate any advice, thanks!
