Hiring a supply chain manager for 6 months. Zero good candidates.

Based in Chicago, mid size manufacturing company. We have been trying to fill a supply planning manager role since December. Posted on LinkedIn and Indeed. Got 200 applications. Most were irrelevant. The few decent ones ghosted after the first interview.

I am wondering if we are looking in the wrong places. Do we need a recruiter who understands supply chain or is the market just this bad right now. How do you find passive candidates who are not actively job hunting. I am tired of wasting time on people who cannot explain what S&OP stands for.

Hit on my motorcycle in Huntsville

I got hit on my motorcycle last week at an intersection here in Huntsville. Guy turned left right in front of me. No time to stop. I hit his passenger side, went over the hood, landed hard.

Result is a broken right leg, surgery with screws, one week in the hospital. Now I'm home but can't work. I do deliveries so no work = no money.

The other driver's insurance (he has a small policy, like $25k) already called me and offered something. But I haven't signed anything yet. A friend told me never to take the first offer without at least talking to a lawyer.

Here's the thing – my motorcycle only had liability coverage, not collision. Does that matter? I wasn't at fault. The cop came but wrote "no clear witnesses" even though two people stopped. Driver was on his phone, didn't brake.

I started looking up personal injury lawyers around Huntsville and kept seeing the name Abogados Centro Legal. They seem to handle exactly this kind of crash. I don't know much else about them.

What I really need to know:

Should I get a lawyer for this or just try to negotiate the medical bills myself?

Does not having collision coverage on my bike hurt my case?

How do lawyers get paid in a situation like this? I have zero extra money right now.

I'm not trying to scam anyone, I just want my surgery bills covered and maybe some lost wages while I can't work.

Any advice from people who've been through this in Alabama would help a lot. Thanks.

I am a 32 year old man in Sydney. I was arrested last week and charged with drug possession and intent to supply. I am not going to lie – I made mistakes. But the police report has some things that are not true and I do not want to be convicted for something I did not do.

I am a Chinese speaker and my English is not strong enough to understand all the legal terms. I need a criminal defence lawyer who speaks Mandarin and has experience with drug cases.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a lawyer in Sydney who will fight for me and not just take my money?
