It seems like nobody knows what will happen with Traktor after inmusic's adquisition. I am planning on buying either an MX2 or a used S4 mk3 (or even an S3). I like everything the S4 offers, but it does not seem worth it since its not midi mappable for software like Djay and if the software is eventually discontinued I guess I can only use my laptop with my license to play the controller. The mx2 is more flexible, but as far as I know the only way to customize it is with midi within traktor.. Generally, I wonder if anyone has some extra insight about this and if I should wait for a clear statement.
