I recently noticed that my Dishwasher wasn't filling up with water anymore, or if it was, it was a very small amount. I took to Google and it told me that it could be a problem with the intake valve. (picture 2)

I ordered a new one off Amazon and it seemed to work; however, when I turned on the Dishwasher, water started pouring out of the intake vent as if there was too much water being pushed through it.

I then turned the water supply valve (picture 3) on just a little bit so less water would flow through the vent.

It's currently going through a cycle but seems to be working alright. Im wondering if its a problem with the intake valve I bought letting too much water through or something else.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks! :)
