Has this ever happened to you?

I found out last November after an MRI that I have a herniated disc. My doctor said I have 3 degenerative discs at L3/4; L4/5; and L5/S1. L5/S1 is the worse with a herniation. This irritates a nerve in my right leg sometimes.

I’m currently spending the weekend in bed because I had a flare up on Thursday (not sure what causes it) but the nerve in my right leg is super irritated and feels like it is going to rip if I walk or sit or lie down a certain way.

Has this ever happened to anyone? I don’t know what to do and the meds the doctor prescribed aren’t helping for pain other than making me drowsy.

Day or two in Osaka/Kyoto?

Does it make sense to do a night stay in Osaka (1 day in Osaka check out head over for 1 day in Kyoto) at the beginning of my trip then head over (via overnight buses) to Tokyo for 5 days? I’m not very picky about stays proposing sleep going and coming. I can sleep on the bus. Stay in a capsule in Osaka for the overnight. Does this make sense? This would be at the end of December into January.

Help on accommodation split?

So I’ll be visiting Japan at the end of December then heading over to South Korea. Haven’t decided the day I’m leaving Japan yet but I’m thinking 26th December to January 1st. Just want some feedback or maybe advice on my hotel split. I’m thinking 4 nights at Joe Backpackers to immerse myself in Tokyo and the end my trip with the last two nights in Fujiwasa so I can explore Kamakura and Yokohama areas. Is this a good split? Should I extend to after January 1st?

Advice for January Travel

Hi I recently returned from my first Seoul trip and I’m planning on returning from December 31st to January 8th. Any advice on weather and things to do would be greatly appreciated. I’d be staying near Busan Station from December 31st to January 3rd and January 3rd to 8th in Seoul. Maybe staying in the MyeongDong area as that worked well for me last time.

Thanks in advance!

PS: any updates or advice on visa requirements would be nice as well. I currently have the K-eta but I’m not sure if that would be changed for the new year.

Japan in December

I’m planning a Tokyo trip in December, Boxing Day to the 30th. Any tips or options or things I can do? I know it would be cold. I’m also an anime fan.

Missing my trip

Really enjoyed my week in South Korea. Wish I had more time. It’s so beautiful. I cannot wait to visit another time.
