vacuum mop combo vs traditional cleaning -- which one saves more time on tile?

my brother keeps telling me to get one of those vacuum mop combo things. says he runs it once and done but i'm skeptical. those machines cost a few hundred bucks and i've read reviews saying they're hard to clean and the dirty water tank smells after a while. also feels like more parts that can break.

if you do your own floors every week or two, do these combos really save time or is it just another gadget that ends up in the closet? and does it actually pick up hair and fur?

I live with one roommate, and overall we get along really well, but over the last couple months her boyfriend has slowly become kind of a third roommate.

At first he’d stay over once or twice a week, which was totally fine. Now he’s here almost every single day. He showers here, cooks here, works remotely from our couch sometimes, and somehow always appears in the kitchen exactly when I’m trying to make food.

He’s honestly nice enough and not rude at all, which is why I feel bad even being annoyed. But I signed up to live with one person, not a couple. I’ve started feeling weirdly uncomfortable in my own apartment because there’s almost never a moment where I fully have the space to myself anymore.

I mentioned it gently to my roommate and she got defensive and said I was acting like I hated her boyfriend personally, which isn’t true.

Now I’m second guessing whether I’m being unreasonable because technically he’s not causing problems, he’s just... always there.
