[Review] Why you shouldn't buy the Bose QC Ultra Gen 2 after the latest update: The multi-pairing is completely broken (Bose straight up scammed us).

Before the update, you could easily switch between saved devices by short-pressing the Bluetooth button. A voice prompt would read out the connected device's name.

Back then, the voice prompt sounded like a cheap robotic voice. It eventually got updated to a high-quality premium voice, but the device’s overall performance became somewhat awkward and mediocre. But now? What Bose did is straight up a scam. They completely removed the manual switching feature.

They replaced it with this garbage "auto-switching" multi-pairing feature. Just turning on my phone screen forces the audio source to switch to the phone, which cuts off my PC audio for about 4 seconds.

And if I get a WhatsApp, Instagram, or Facebook notification during that? The headset just goes completely haywire. Selling a product like this is nothing short of a scam. The biggest issue is with previously paired PCs.

When I try to use a PC again after the headset was connected to another device, Windows still thinks the headset is connected. This happens because the connection was never properly terminated from the PC's end

As a result, Windows gets stuck. Automatic reconnection fails entirely until I manually remove the Bose headphones from the Windows Bluetooth device list and pair them again.

Originally, it supported multi-pairing for up to 5 devices, allowing users to switch between them manually. Now, they have forced a buggy 2-device auto-switching system on us.

This completely ruined the 5-device multi-pairing capability, while leaving the old pairing profiles half-assed and glitched out. This is a textbook example of a game-breaking bug. Is this what they call "innovation"? They ruined a perfectly good product just to brag about some half-baked new feature. It's absolutely ridiculous.

This is exactly why you should NOT buy the Bose QC Ultra Gen 2 headphones after this update.
