This question is mainly for French residents or people who know about this.

I won an Interrail pass (or equivalent) through "Discover EU" to travel throughout Europe. I was planning to use it for trips within France (for example, Dax to Burgundy) because of the regular ticket prices.

However, a friend who did this received a fine because it seems it's forbidden to use this pass for travel only within France.

Could someone explain how this works and if it would work to pretend to be traveling abroad and get off the train before the actual arrival at a station that suits us?

JE ne sais pas vraiment ou poser la question donc je le fait ici)

J'ai gagné grâce a "discover eu" un pass interrail (ou équivalent) afin de voyager dans toute l'Europe. Je comptais m'en servir pour faire notamment des trajets a l'intérieur de la France (par exemple Dax- la Bourgogne) en vue du prix normal des billets.

Cependant une amie qui a fait ça a reçue une amende car il parait que c'est interdit d'utiliser ce pass pour voyager seulement en France.

Quelqu'un pourrait-il m'expliquer comment cela fonctionne et si ça pourrait marcher de faire semblant de faire un trajet vers l'étranger et de sortir du train avant la vraie arrivée dans une gare qui nous arrange.
