Hey all,

Just completed my interview for my Suffolk pistol permit. According to my investigator the laws have changed and I am now able to take the CCW class before receiving my dwelling permit.

Any recommendations on where to take the course?

Submitted my application back in October 2025. Finally got the call for my interview, going later today.

For those that have recently completed the process;

1. is a wifi bill from verizon and acceptable utility bill for proof of address?
2. did you need proof of employment? My investigator mentioned a work ID if applicable but the documents online all say I need a recent pay stub. I plan on bringing it regardless.
3. I am using my passport as proof of residency/citizenship. Will it matter if my DL still shows an old address from Nassau County?
4. Timeline from day of interview to getting my permit.
