I wish Dallas would focus more on it's southern section

I live in one of the southern suburbs of Dallas. Everyone I live around loves Dallas. The southern section of Dallas is where the real culture and heart of the city lies. I live by the lake. There are trees everywhere. I do not recognize this place that I keep seeing on Reddit posts. The northern section of Dallas is full of people that would rather be in Los Angeles, Chicago, or New York. Appealing to them is pointless. The city needs to focus on building up the heart of Dallas and then the entire city will benefit. Building up the north is doing nothing but increasing hate for our city on the world's stage.

Edit I'm fully aware that we're in this situation due to racism and white flight. I'm more concerned about how Dallas is viewed as a city. We're too focused on catering to people that don't want to be here. If we build up southern Dallas, I believe we would build up the city.
