Seven Kingdoms keeps shattering to random rulers

Seven Kingdoms keeps shattering to random rulers

This is just one case, but I've had Pycelle and Robert's Headsman also usurp in previous years.

For some reason at the start of every year a random NPC ends up usurping Robert and destroying the Seven Kingdoms. I'm able to stop it by using Divine Intervention to kill the NPC in question prior to them usurping, but it seems like each year the game chooses a new one. I've ruled out claimant wars, murder, and anything else I could think of cause when I played as Pycelle in a previous run to see why it was happening, my game just crashed.

Any ideas on what could be happening? Any help is appreciated.

Wanted some critiques or advice on how to improve my magic system: Miraculum - A Miracle Metal.

I originally based Miraculum loosely on Valyrian steel from the ASOIAF series, but decided I wanted it to have a bit more magical properties than its inspiration.

Miraculum is a volatile metal that arrived from space when a meteor struck Earth some centuries ago. Miraculum is both a very durable yet volatile metal in its base state, being very reactive in the presence of heat and when struck with significant force. Through unknown means, Miraculum seems to stabilize and become able to transmute itself or objects when given a "code". Codes can be anything with some form of pattern, such as writing, drawings, music, or even DNA. For example, various glyphs used by practitioners can create fireballs or generate electricity; the more complicated the effect, the more intricate the code.

There are 4 "classes" of Miraculum users in the world, the 4 W's:

Warriors - The majority of Miraculum users usually obtained their Miraculum weapons through inheritance. Warriors are typically the ones leading armies or protecting nobles.

Wizards - Individuals who study Miraculum intimately, oftentimes at prestigious universities, and primarily apply it through the use of glyphs or writing. Wizards can be found in the courts of nobles as physicians, alchemists, or tutors.

Wrights - The engineers of the world, the ones who created many of the weapons that the warriors use. They focus more on the structural and mechanical uses of Miraculum than the magical aspects of it. Wrights are quite rare as it requires several years of schooling, and years of experience to become adept at forging Miraculum without harming yourself.

Warlocks - Warlocks are individuals who've been exposed to Miraculum either through ingestion or by being in areas irradiated by Miraculum (almost exclusively at the various crash sites of the original meteor and its fragments). Through exposure to Miraculum, their DNA has become the code for the trace amounts of Miraculum, altering their bodies and giving them various features that are usually animalistic in nature (i.e., slitted eyes, acidic saliva, enhanced strength, etc.). Warlocks are the most unpredictable application of Miraculum, with the outcomes being largely based on genetics. Unsurprisingly, Warlocks are considered taboo in most areas of the world due to this unpredictability, and have been confined to small populations of islands or underground.
